- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I use a grid/graph to order and cost out my flowers. For example a bridal bouquet may have 23 roses, bridesmaids may have 15, boutonnieres 6 and centerpieces 25. that is a total of 69 roses, which tells me I need to order 3 bunches of roses. I do not give you a cost for your bouquet, a seperate cost for bridesmaids and a seperate cost for your centerpieces because I cost our by the total number of flowers used.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I usually attend at least 4 workshops every year in Portland. I have attended workshops in California and recently attended a workshop in New York. I do this in order to stay up with the changing styles and colors.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
1. Ask how long they have been in the business. 2. What is your training. 3. See pictures of their work. 4. Can I have 3 references. 5. Who actually does the flowers for my wedding. 6. Who delivers the flowers for my wedding.
