Introduction: I have studied martial arts for 16 years. I have competed in over 20 tournaments including taking first place in the nationals. I have my black belt in karate and have practiced hapkido, judo and aikido. I have taught karate and self-defense. My philosophy is teaching self-defense in a way that is simple. Awareness , confidence, keeping ones body and mind strong and disciplined, as well as physical techniques that one can remember when in a frightening situation .
I am passionate about a healthy diet , proper weight , exercise which includes cardio and weight training . I have 38 years of expereince. I am a trainer who pushes . Form is an absolute . I am careful to not over train and feel that muscles and " fat " respond well to variety . It's more fun and keeps up the desire to keep going.
Self defense for women is an option . I am experienced in both .
