FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is very straight forward. It’s all lineal foot. It changes as material costs go up and down, so I won’t put hard prices on here because it’s changed so many times just in the last year. Generally it’s under $10/ft unless very high or complex for aluminum. Copper varies much more and is much more expensive as material and labor costs are dramatically higher.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I talk on the phone or over text/email to the customer, see what needs they have, and schedule an estimate. I come out personally, talk about problems they’re seeing that require repair/replacement, examine things to make sure there isn’t anything structural that needs to be done, and take measurements and get colors to create a bid.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned all about roofing while working for Johnson’s roofing in Hillsboro, which gives me a lot of insight about potential problems that can relate to gutters. For the gutter work I sub contracted for a major gutter protection company for several years and got very familiar with work that was done well and work that wasn’t as well as what did and didn’t work.
