Thank you, Rene~ I very much enjoyed our conversation, yesterday, and the wealth of knowledge you shared with me about computer coaching and the specific techniques you employ to reach a multi-demographic consumer base. You put me right at ease, and you are very patient in making sure I understood the various technological terms and applications. I highly recommend your coaching style and competence to High School and Senior learners! Aneesah Furqan - CMICAN July 12, 2015

Linda at the time of our first contact told me that she is not a Reiki practitioner, but she could refer me to one she knew. She explained that her area of expertise is counseling and life coaching and she offered to meet me for a free 15 minute "get to know each other" event. We met and I was very pleased to get to know her and learn more about her services. As I told her, I may very well use her services, primarily working with me to encourage me along the lines of completing and publishing a book that is in the works. I believe she will be quite helpful along those lines. I will recommend her to friends!

Mike offered his coaching when I was going through a very challenging time in my life. Divorce. My life was entering new territory, I was a mess, and relations with my kids were not easy. Mike offered advice and thoughts that hit at many levels. From what good growth could come out of the mire to practical advice for being available to my kids. Mike did not sugar-coat things. He has a depth of experience and core of compassion that combine to make him an exceptional life or spiritual coach.

Galeno is very easy to talk to. He is warm, nonjudgmental and self-aware. This is a person who is passionate about personal growth and willing to share from personal experience, not speaking down from a pedestal. I highly recommend Galeno for those ready to real open up and be seen and to be supported in breaking free of any internal or external rat-cages!

What an excellent, positive coach! This type of coaching has worked tremendously for me - much better than previous counseling or therapy methods. Not dwelling on the past, but moving forward with a positive approach in what I desire for the future has been a key focus in Lovin' Life Coaching. I have found that since the process is by telephone it doesn't matter where I am, I have the ability to attend my sessions and have access to Maria's upbeat attitude and tone that even comes across with the unlimited email in between sessions. I encourage anyone to give it a try and see how her knowledge of how the Laws of Attraction can work for you!

I'll let some of my clients respond: "No president or CEO should try to run a company without a "guardian Griff" on their shoulder." K. Milne, President & CEO of Stardust “Thank you so much for helping me discover my strengths and to better organize my business where I can work in those strengths and delegate the rest.” J. Williams-Von Zopf, President, The Benefits Group, LLC “Our time together is truly a blessing because I am able to put my burdens into trustworthy hands, confident that someone would help faithfully shoulder this part of my journey with me and ask me the kinds of questions I need to move to the next steps.” C. Holt – a life-coach client "Griff coached me about my emerging business and asked me some very interesting questions that led to some very specific recommendations - but back then they were not what I wanted to hear. I did follow his coaching and that was the best decision I ever made. He continues to amaze me with his insight and wisdom. I trust his counsel." T. Faley, WheelsUp Woodworking I enjoy most when the "light bulb" goes on and a person catches: 1) the vision of knowing themselves better - how they are wired and the strengths they bring to the mix; 2) winds of change that are needed to better wrestle with the issues that must be personally managed and controlled; and 3) currents of growth that result from giving self serving the needs of others.

I have an open mind and I have an unorthodox way of helping people. I don't cast judgement on age, gender, race, if you're short or tall, skinny or large, drinker or not, smoker or not, and the list can go on. I have a way of getting people to let me in. You'll never truly know my work until the day you actually work with me. Meeting new people and building relationships. I'm a curious person at heart and am always interested in other people. Everyone has a story to tell and I love hearing every one of them.

I am a personal trainer and life coach. Contact me when you are ready to jumpstart your health and fitness. My mission is to ensure my committed clients reach their goals regarding strength, endurance, core, weight loss, nutrition, and stress reduction. In addition, I have developed athletic training programs that cover all sports, ages, and skill levels. My lifelong dedication to health and fitness provides me with the experience to work with a variety of clients. Testimonials from some of my clients are available on my website.

I combine EFT with coaching and other techniques. This allows us to both clear the limiting beliefs you have that are keeping you from living your purpose as well as helps you get deep clarity and focus. As a conscious evolutionary and entrepreneur myself I have a lot of experience working with the process of inner and outer change. I work with people I love! What I do is fully aligned with who I am and the change I want to see in the world. (I also get to make my own hours which is amazing)

I'm not a personal trainer. I'm not an exercise physiologist. There are plenty of those out there. If that was all you needed you would be fit by now. :) What I am, is a healthy, drug free 50+ man who knows how to stay fit. I know what it takes. I know how important it is. I can help you reach your goals. I am a Certified Professional Coach who focuses on helping others adopt a healthy lifestyle. That includes goal setting, accountability, one-on-one support every week. My mission is to be a facilitator of wellness and fitness. I enjoy helping people adopt a healthy lifestyle so they get stronger, lose weight, and (most importantly) feel better! Your health is the most important thing you have. Unfortunately, millions of Americans eat poorly and don't get adequate exercise. More than 20% of Americans are now considered obese. It doesn't have to be that way.

I love helping people, period! My decade-long calling has been first and foremost to listen. I live and teach empathy and self-empathy, helping people clarify and resolve issues, so their most important and difficult-to-meet needs get consistently met. Together, we custom design our time together to focus on your already existing strengths and form bridges to new skills and understanding. Consider me your all-around ally. My experience as a therapist and a trainer of therapists led me to study compassionate "nonviolent" communication, which I find amazingly effective in helping people navigate difficult inner and outer situations. I would be delighted to offer you a complimentary get-acquainted phone visit to find out if the emotional or spiritual/existential chemistry between us could be something useful to you.

For adult individuals wanting to make healthy, sustainable changes in their everyday lives regarding their physical and emotional well-being, BetseyBrite Wellness Coaching provides therapeutically grounded support, accountability, and solutions. Unlike traditional fitness or life coaches, BBWC focuses on a holistic integration of mind, body, heart, and spirit through a body-positive approach to physical health and a trauma-informed solution-focused framework to address emotional wellness and healing.

I offer Personal Training, Health Coaching and Life Coaching. I've collaborated with clients for over 10 years assisting them to overcome their Health & Fitness challenges. My motto is that Nutrition, Movement and Mindset heal the body. Personally I was a competitive cyclist and triathlete that was side-lined with a benign brain tumor in 2015 that made me change my overstressed lifestyle to heal my body, I help my clients do the same. I love helping people who are frustrated managing their health, weight or time getting their workouts and eating plans right. From being a competitive athlete I offer structure and science but from being a brain tumor survivor I offer humanity and balance. It's been a rewarding combination that makes my job and my work with my clients very rewarding.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    What is a career coach?

If you’re interested in furthering your career and want expert help, a career coach is a smart solution. A career coach is a professional you hire to guide you during a job search or a career transition, or to help you improve and advance in your current position. A career coach analyzes your work situation and learns what your professional goals are. They then create a strategy to help you achieve your targets. Throughout the process they should provide objective feedback and guide you in approaching the process strategically. Here are some of the tools and tasks a career coach may assist you with:

    • Helping you build a strong resume that reflects your work history, potential, and skills
    • Coaching for interviews and strategies for solid answers built around your resume and the target job
    • Defining your career goals
    • Creating a plan for job searching
    • Improving networking strategies and skills
    • Developing strategies for negotiating raises or promotions
    • Assessing why you’re not getting where you want to go
    • Identifying new positions or career opportunities that fit your skills

    Why is career counseling important?

Career counseling can help you discover your career path, help you overcome challenges preventing you from finding happiness in your job, or help you learn more about career opportunities that are available to you. Career counselors are typically counselors who specialize in helping guide people into their best career choices. As professionals, they have typically completed a master’s degree in counseling with a focus on career counseling and bring a nuanced understanding of the emotional blocks that prevent someone from doing what they love or getting ahead in their current position. Here are some of the ways that career counseling can help:

    • Identify your skills and talents and how they correlate to different career paths
    • Educate you about the educational requirements for launching in various careers and what earnings can look like
    • Help you understand the kind of environment you want to work in, and which careers are best suited for that
    • See opportunities to transfer your existing skill set to other career areas
    • Help you identify causes of tension or unhappiness in your current career and how to overcome those difficulties
    • Help you create a game plan for moving forward
    • Provide a safe space for you to understand your feelings about career choices you’re making

    What is a career counselor?

If you’re feeling lost in your career path, overwhelmed, in need of a job but confused as where to start, or ready for change but uncertain what you want, a career counselor is a good choice for you. A career counselor is typically a licensed professional who has earned a master’s degree in counseling — likely with an emphasis on career counseling. Each state has different licensing requirements for career counselors, so be sure to research before reaching out to a pro.

Due to their academic backgrounds, career counselors often have a more holistic and in-depth approach than a career coach. Career coaches are not regulated by states and also tend to be more business-focused — a good fit for those who know what they want but need help achieving it. On the other hand, a career counselor provides guidance and clarity around some of the more emotional aspects that job hunting and career movement entail. Career counselors meet with you in a series of one-on-one sessions. They assess your personality and learn what drives you. They get a detailed understanding of your work history and your hopes, and often work to help you discover any internal blocks preventing you from going where you want to go. Hiring a career counselor is appropriate at any time in your career, from recent graduate to executive-level management.

How much does it cost to hire a career coach?

When it’s time to take your career to the next level, it’s time to hire a career coach. The cost to have a career coach help you with your professional journey will vary based on how many sessions you require, the level of coaching you desire, and the rates of the coach as determined by their experience, expertise, education and training. On average, career coaching sessions can range from 60 to 120 minutes, depending on the professional and what your needs are. Career coaches in smaller towns and areas with a lower cost of living will also typically have lower rates than those residing in large metro areas like New York, although most do offer remote coaching. Many coaches also offer a free introductory consultation, which gives you the opportunity to determine if their personality and coaching style are the right fit. It’s helpful to ask the coach about their relevant experience and get references from former clients. Depending on the professional, session rates could range anywhere from under $60 to well over $250 per session. Package discounts are a good way to commit to the relationship as well as get savings on services.

How much does it cost to hire a career coach?

A career coach provides one-on-one sessions to help you reach your career goals or overcome any challenges you’re having in your career path. The cost to have career coaching can vary based on factors such as the number of sessions you purchase at one time and the experience and rates of your counselor. Career counselors are typically professionals who have earned at least a master’s degree in their field. Based on their academic background, supplemental certifications they have received, and any postdoctoral work they have done, their rates may vary. Typically career counselors offer reduced rates when you sign on for their services on an ongoing basis. A typical price range for career counseling services (nationally) could be $75-$150 per session. Remember to always ask if the career counselor offers a complimentary introductory session. You want to make sure the relationship will be the right personality and counseling style fit to help launch your confidence and upcoming career changes.
