Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Initial lesson is free so you can see if you like it. After that I charge $25 for 30 minute and $40 for hour lessons. Hi, my name is Jonathan. I am a current student at the University of Oregon, studying jazz music. I’m passionate about music, specifically sharing the gift of music with others. In my teaching, I try to inspire my students, and give them tools to succeed in their goals. I will work with you through your specific goals, whatever those may be. Everyone’s musical journey is different and we will work together to find a path that fits your needs. Upon our first lesson, we will discuss what you want to get out of the lessons, and how best to achieve those goals in the coming weeks. I will cater our lessons to your learning style and give you fun ways to develop your skills as quickly as possible. If you’re starting out in your musical journey, we can work towards playing songs as soon as possible. If you’re more experienced, we can work on developing freedom on the fretboard.

Jonathan is experienced, knowledgeable, and informative about many different aspects of guitar playing. He is punctual (started and ended right on time). Jonathan was very accommodating to my level of musicianship on guitar, which is at the very beginning. Each question I had, whether it was about songs, scales, or technique, was answered clearly and with nuance. I felt at ease for the whole lesson because he was responsive to my comments and pacing the entire time. If I asked him to explain something again, he would add a bit of extra info or explain it in a slightly different way until it was clear that I understood. Jonathan is a wonderful teacher for beginning guitarists looking to learn some songs casually, or for intermediate guitarists looking to push their skill to the next level.

I always look forward to lessons with Jonathan. He caters the lesson to the individual and is very easy to communicate questions and what you want to learn. His skill with the instrument is very apparent.

Jonathan is a fantastic music teacher! He always spends time listening and helping me learn the songs that I want to learn, and also teaches me the techniques and skills that I didn’t even know would help me become a better guitar player. He always finds ways to make the exercises fun, and puts in extra time outside our lessons to transcribe the songs I want to learn into a format I can read and play along to.
