I recently hired Jody to help me with a leak. He was very thorough in investigating the cause and talked me through the options for repairs. He was very friendly as well and it was comfortable to have him in my home. My dogs liked him as well (important to me in the event I hire him again). I was impressed with the cleanliness as well and look forward to working with Jody again. His sheetrock guy will be visiting next to complete the repair to the ceiling and I'm optimistic in the quality I'll see from him based on Jody's work and other reviews I've read. Glad to know I have someone to call when I need things done now.
Services provided were electrical in nature: change all light switches & outlet plugs; install new closet light; install new basement lights on existing circuit; install new dedicated light switch for additional kitchen light and so on. Additionally, he helped repair and re-install door handles and locks in a 2925 craftsman bungalow. Work was done professionally, methodically and efficiently. Prompt, good communication and a pleasure to work with. Will use again for future projects
Song did an excellent job cleaning two very dirty leather couches and three rugs. He has cleaned a third couch since that first job. We are planning future projects for furniture repair and refinishing.
Eliseo came out to fix leak damage in our ceiling and remove wallpaper, repair, and retexture a wall. He did an amazing job and was terrific to work with. We have some other work that we'll need to have done in the future and we will definitely be giving him a call!
I asked Chris Wilhelm of Compass Home Repair and Renovation to install a utility sink in my basement. I had recently done a renovation restoring a bedroom, bathroom suite along with adding a washer and dryer for a a tenant. I didn't think about a utility sink, as part of that renovation which is a useful thing to have for larger and dirty clean-up projects. I only had a sink. There was no drain, no spigot or faucets. He dropped by my home to get an idea of the job's specifics and returned a week later. Chris installed the sink with a few hiccups along the way (such as trying to figure out how to turn off the water--not his fault--the recent plumbing was unlike anything he'd ever encountered. The sink works beautifully, and he integrated it next to the washer/dryer without taking up any additional space in this storage area. Best of all is the hose attachment, which insures that hard-to-reach spaces can be reached without effort. I've already hired Chris to do some restoration of my porch steps, which is due to be done this Saturday.
Corey was on time and informative about a quick plumbing repair. He was in and out and solve our problem.
Edward showed up with a smile and promptly as scheduled. He not only took on the small plumbing repair project I hired him for, but he also fixed 3 additional problems I had in my home during his brief visit, and at an amazingly reasonable price! He took the time to explain the steps of each fix to me, diagnosed and repaired each issue quickly, and was patient while doing so, all with an upbeat attitude. Highest praise for Dass Maintenance and Edward. I'd give him lots more stars if I could. THANK YOU!
I needed a sliding window repaired due to the frame pulling away from the glass. Stacey put in a bid right away, and since he was near my home at that time, he showed up right away. He assessed the situation and got his tools and fixed the window. He did a good job and it was a good experience.
John and his crew build 111 feet of cedar privacy fence for me. Quality built, when he said he would at the price he quoted. Very professional and nice to work with. Already engaged him for the next project, window replacement.
Keenie was easy to work with and did a great job. I would definitely hire him to do other repairs! The first repairman I called, (from Thumbtack), came and then walked out after 10 minutes apparently having decided that he didn't want to install a kitchen faucet in the tight corner cupboard after all. Keenie came and looked at it and then returned to do the install with no issues.
I was very pleased with the window replacement Danny and his partner at West Coast Windows did today. They showed up when they said they would and went right to work with a minimum of fuss and with care for my house and its antique wood-framed windows. The price was very reasonable given that they had already come out for one walkthrough to measure the window and estimate the job, then had a two-man team working on the inside and outside of the window, and went above and beyond by also fixing the broken part of the sash that had been separated in the incident. I felt that the communication was excellent throughout the process. From my experience, I believe that these are honest guys who can be trusted to do good work at a good price. I plan to keep them on speed dial in case we need any other window repairs in the future.
Daniel was very professional and easy to work with. I would highly recommend him for your window installation needs.
I had a leak in my roof and was leaving town for several days. The crew came out within 2 hours, identified the source of the leak, and put a tarp on as a temporary fix. This was a huge relief for me. They provided an estimate for a repair and a new roof.
Great attitude and advices. Lloyd was able to repair my fence, not replace it like everyone else wanted to do. He showed up on time and finished on time. It was great to have him work on my house.
Brien came out to see a small repair project and I ended up hiring him to build an art studio on my property. He did quality work, was in excellent communication, and was reliable. He was a great resource throughout regarding materials and ideas and he helped me stay in my budget. I'd hire him again in a hot second and will certainly recommend him for construction projects.
Lino did an excellent job of cleaning up and preparing my rental house for occupancy after it was vacated without being properly cleaned or cared for. He did major cleaning in the kitchen, painting and wall touch-up in the living room, minor cupboard and storm window repair; and cleaning of gutters and debris left behind by previous tenants. He came to the job exactly at the time promised, worked diligently, and completed the work on time. He asked me about a couple of things I had overlooked--and agreed to take care of them. I was completely satisfied with the quality, time required, and cost of the work Lino completed. I will definitely use him again and have no reservations in commending him for the good work he did on my house.
I cannot express how pleased I am with my new Renewal by Andersen windows. I was a tad nervous about the process of installing windows in winter but were those concerns ever groundless! Ismael and Chino arrived on time in the morning. They taped off the inside of the window areas and laid drop cloths. In one day, they replaced 5 windows including the installation of trim outside on windows that previously had no trim. They did an absolute phenomenal job. They were polite, neat, and never lost sight of the fact that they were guests in my home. I am floored by the quality and the beauty of my new windows and the young men who installed them. From the initial consultation till they drove away with my old windows in tow, I was taken care of. I would not hesitate to recommend Renewal by Andersen for your window project.
Miguel Hernandez has done a tremendous amount of work for Lents Baptist Church. We still own the parsonage in the expectation that we would someday use it for church activities. The day has not come. In the interim we rent the house out. The house is a four bedroom two bath house. The last renter caused a lot of damage to the house. Miguel was right there to take on the responsibility and work of repairing the house. He washed all the walls, ceilings and floors. He repaired holes in the walls. Then he primed the walls and ceilings. Then he painted them. The floors in the main living areas are hardwood and he sanded, stained and sealed the floors. He laid tile in the bathrooms, kitchen and dining room. He replaced all the interior doors and the front door. New trim was installed between the walls and floor. We had water damage in the entry way to the church. Miguel repaired the walls and then painted the area. All his work was very good.
Emmanuel did a great job on some on some home repairs that were greatly needed and was extremely friendly and professional.
I have worked with Max on several construction projects, including siding, decks, and painting, and he has always done a great job at a fair price. I would recommend MJK Construction for any repair or new construction project you have.
Brian Lyne built a small summer cottage for me years ago, and he did all of the work himself - digging and pouring footings, framing and closing, installing insulation/cupboards/sink/toilet/shower/windows, roofing, siding, and staining/painting. I have since sold the property, but I know the current owners are happy that he had the forethought to pour extra footings for eventual expansion. They have expanded the cottage according to his original plans, and enjoy the house throughout the year. Brian is an honest, thoughtful, skilled, hard worker. I highly recommend him.
