The company was quick to respond to my inquiry and I was able to get scheduled for a free estimate quickly. Hector was prompt and very professional. I was optimistic we’d be able to get the work scheduled for the next day—until I received an estimate for over $3000 to install 2 sink faucets, update 1 Roman tub faucet and set 1 toilet (we were supplying all of the materials). When I declined to accept the quote, they suggested there might be some ability to adjust the price and offered me a financing option. When I declined that, I received a call from the owner with another offer of financing. I didn’t return their call. We were able to complete the work with another plumbing company for $825. We’re still astounded at 100% Plumbing’s outrageous quote, are thankful we had other options, and are concerned that others might be getting taken advantage of by this company’s pricing practices. Be warned and be sure to get multiple quotes from businesses!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad we were able to respond quickly, provide a free estimate, and that you found a solution that fit your budget.
We understand that our pricing wasn't what you were expecting. Plumbing companies use different pricing models, and ours reflects the quality of workmanship, the time required, our overhead, warranty, licensing, insurance, and the level of care we put into every job. We know we'll never be the lowest-priced option, and we don't try to be.
In fact, when a quote isn't within a customer's budget, we routinely encourage them to get additional estimates so they can make the decision that's best for them. There is never any pressure to move forward with us. When we reached back out after the estimate, it was simply to see if there were any questions and to let you know financing was available if cost was the only obstacle—not to pressure you into hiring us.
We're genuinely happy you found a contractor you were comfortable with. We do, however, respectfully disagree with the suggestion that our pricing was intended to take advantage of anyone. We believe every customer deserves an honest assessment and a transparent quote, even when they ultimately choose another company.

Our base rate is $180/hour plus materials, but we also have a thorough price book built for specific services.
We also offer 10% off for new customers!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We gather basic information from new customers (name, address, phone number, etc.) over the phone or through online booking on our website or Thumbtack. Once your free estimate is scheduled, we'll arrive within an hour of the agreed upon time, complete your free estimate, and hopefully get to help you with whatever issue you're facing!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We're licensed, bonded, and insured as a plumbing company in Oregon state. We have 15+ years of experience in the field along with 20 years of experience in the industry overall.
