Due to the large number of clients that aren’t serious about hiring contractors, we would prefer to engage only with clients that are actually real people with some home improvement/remodeling/repair needs, and that have also decided to engage a contractor through Thumbtack. Please note: thumbtack charges each contractor immediately when you initiate contact. And social media is rife with rumors that some of Thumbtack's "leads" aren't genuine and that they are in fact paid by thumbtack to produce false requests for quotes--thus costing each contractor contacted $200 - $300 for each false request.
