I have almost 20 years of experience as a flooring installer and finish carpenter. I’m licensed and bonded, CCB #171504. Experience really matters when it comes to installing floors that last. I’ve replaced many floors that other contractors have installed due to their not having training, experience and tools needed to do it correctly. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist (which drives my wife crazy at times) but my floors are always done right the first time and my customers are always happy with my work. I specialize in pre-finished hardwood, engineered hardwood, vinyl plank (LVP), vinyl tile, (LVT) and laminate floors. I can do all forms of trim/base molding installation work. I do NOT paint, stain, sand or finish hardwood flooring, but I can provide many options to integrate, cover or remove existing flooring to ensure you get the right look for your home.

I’ll take the obvious pun: I WAS FLOORED at how amazing of a job he did on my basement LVP! I thought I could do it myself but gave up and sought him out of frustration, but he made it look easy! He was super responsive and when we walked through the project area you can tell he obviously knows what he’s talking about. Can’t wait to use my new space. Would absolutely hire again!

I had 4 estimates for a simple job. Remove carpet and install laminate flooring. I had 4 estimates which ranged wildly. I chose Jacob b/c he was clearly the most educated and experienced. Jake is efficient and does very high quality work. He was so easy to work with and responsive and helpful when we had questions. We did a full demolition and renovation of a kitchen and two bathrooms as well as updating lots of flooring. Jake did all the demo, installed all the kitchen cabinets and some of the appliances as well as all the bathroom vanities, tubs, etc. and kept the job on track managing the subcontractors. I have worked with lots of contractors over the years and I would rate Jake at the top. He showed up on time, worked hard and did quality work.

Jacob installed LVP in our house. He knocked it out pretty quickly. Our place had a bit of an issue with the subfloor. Jacob was able to replace the section. LVP isn’t super complex to install (having installed it in the bathrooms) but Jacob was able to get it knocked out quickly. Experience makes a difference in timeframe, and Jacob stated that he had been installing flooring for a while. So far the flooring is good. No complaints.

FAQs

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that your installer knows how to do all the necessary floor leveling and preparation before installation. Many floors fail quickly when appropriate time isn’t taken in this commonly overlooked area. All wood and concrete subfloors can be made flat.
