Ricky is beyond amazing! Not only is he extremely knowledgeable in training and dietary planning, but he is FUN to work with and brings a level of energy and positivity that I needed for motivation. As I am at the beginning of my weight loss journey, Ricky has been critical in teaching me basic daily habits and meeting me at my ability level. All of the workouts designed are targeted to my physical needs, but also require little additional equipment, which was important for me living in a smaller space without gym access. I would recommend Ricky to anyone looking for a positive health coach/trainer!

Ricky is a great trainer. I’ve been working with him for over a year. This is the first time I’ve ever stuck with a training program and am in it for life. It’s all because of him. He patiently took me from where I was at with limited ability and now I’ve improved greatly in all areas. Strength, flexibility, balance and stamina were my main concerns as a 65 year old adult. I do not have chronic aches and pains anymore and am enjoying hiking through the woods and even snowshoeing this winter. I have lost weight too. Every training session is different and tailored to my specific needs and how I am physically feeling on that day. Training is never boring because Ricky has a wealth of knowledge and always has new exercises for me to do. We use bands, free weights, body weight resistance bands, and a kettlebell. All equipment I have at home making it so easy to workout virtually with Ricky. I look forward to our sessions because Ricky explains and demonstrates everything so clearly. It’s convenient, time saving and economical. I started with 2 sessions a week and quickly increased to 3 sessions a week. I love it!

I’ve been working with Ricky for a few months now with one on one training! Ricky is very engaging and and our sessions are enjoyable and fun. The routines have targeted my whole body and I’ve noticed consistent improvements in my strength and flexibility. I’ve worked with other trainers in the past and my experience with Ricky has been the best. I’ve suffered a couple of serious sports injuries on my shoulders and am very pleased with his ability to craft a workout out plan that feels both therapeutic and challenging!

I’ve never stuck with routines for strength training but working with Ricky has gotten me on a new path. He does a great job of personalizing workouts that I can do with minimal equipment and these workouts have shown results quickly while providing great variation in exercises. And Ricky is a great motivator, avoiding being a drill sergeant or overly corny. I would highly recommend Ricky to anyone looking to stay healthy and in shape!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    My initial hour-long consultations are free and then the next 3 sessions are 50% off. This is so we can see how well we wor together.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I always start with an initial assessment to get a baseline of strength and to discuss goals with each client. From there I build a training program based on what is important to the client. We layout a dietary plan, talk about styles of training, and any recommendations I have. Sessions happen once to three times a week over zoom depending on the client. Each session is an hour, which intails, a warm up, workout, and cooldown. There is usually some discussion around the clients diet and fitness outside of session. Then typically there is some fun banter and laughter, I do my best to keep things light hearted.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    -Bachelors of Science in Outdoor Education and Physiology from Unity College -Certified Personal Trainer from the Internationa Sports Science Association (ISSA) -Certified Nutrition Coach from the Internationa Sports Science Association (ISSA) -Certified Transformation Coach from the Internationa Sports Science Association (ISSA) I have spent more than a decade in industries that revolve around guiding individuals through personal development. Teaching people about who they are with the lens of fitness is my newest iteration of this lifelong passion.
