Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I love my "job"! It is a great honor to be a part of one of the most important and emotional moments in two peoples lives. It gives me great happiness to guide my clients through the process, answer any questions, offer ideas and suggestions to truly make their weddings ceremony unique and special for them. Officiating weddings, to me in not a job, it is a passion.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I had a friend getting married and had no idea where to start in hiring an Officiant, so I offered to do it for her. I enjoyed the process, and developed a real passion for it. And now, here I am!

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

It was a last minute ceremony because the Groom was deploying. We had to change the date a couple of times, and the venue 3-4 times due to weather and other concerns. It started out as the Bride and Groom and their parents, and grew into a small wedding with reception with 35-40 people in attendance. Everyone was overwhelmed by what it grew into and all of the details of a wedding on 2 week notice. When I arrived the Bride was very nervous, but after have a few moments talking with her I had her smiling, laughing and ready. The ceremony went smooth, everyone was in tears (in the wedding business that is a good thing!) and most importantly the Bride and Groom were all smiles. They both gave me big hugs when I left and kept telling me how thankful they were for my flexibility and patience, and how happy they were with the ceremony. I left with a smile and warm heart.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If possible, meet with your Officiant ahead of time. Use the meeting to make sure you are all a "good fit" with each other, and really talk about your vision of the ceremony.
