Introduction: I will customize the students' lesson experience to help them learn what they are excited about learning while moving at a pace that challenges them to grow and succeed. I love being a part of that moment when something "clicks" and a student is able to express his or herself musically in a new way.

Ryan is a great teacher! He's a very talented musician and his passion for music is easily passed on to his students. We've known Ryan for about six years and my son's enthusiasm for playing instruments has been greatly influenced by him. Ryan was the one who introduced my son to the piano, and recently, the guitar. Because of Ryan's style of teaching, my son has pretty much always practiced his instruments without being asked because he enjoys playing, and I think that has everything to do with the teacher. Ryan has always been an excellent communicator. This has been very important because I have no musical background and would not be able to clear up any confusion, if my son had any. My son never left a lesson confused or frustrated - always happy and eager to go home and practice, especially if he had the challenge of a new song to work on! Ryan is also a great encourager. My son often looked forward to his weekly lesson with Ryan when he would get to play what he had been practicing all week. We would still be seeing Ryan every week if he hadn't moved. My son misses him. Ryan is the best!!

My son took guitar lessons from Ryan for four years after we were referred to him by a family friend. At the beginning of their time together my son had barely even held a guitar & by the end he was playing well enough to be on the worship team for his youth group & is loving it!! Ryan is so patient, very kind, & very understanding & flexible when life happens. We were so blessed to have him for our guitar teacher. We were so grateful for his teaching that we even followed him to 2 different locations as I was willing to drive as far as I had to in order to keep him for my son’s teacher as long as we could. Had he not moved so far away, we would still be going to him now. He even went so far as to go with my son to help him choose a good guitar that would work well for him when he was looking to buy a new one. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for lessons!

Ryan taught me both piano & guitar, and I couldn't have had a better teacher! I have been in bands/choirs all throughout my life, and I have been instructed in music by many people. Ryan is very patient, he loves to incorporate the specific music that you really want to learn, he teaches you the correct form and emphasizes it's importance, and he makes sure that your lessons are well-rounded and productive. I wanted to learn a song for a performance, and he taught it to me during the lesson while also making sure we practiced scales, chords, and other skills I needed to work on. I learned so much from Ryan, and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Ryan was my 14 year old son, Jacob's piano teacher for the past 2-3 years. Ryan was willing to meet Jacob at his level of interest and ability, allowing Jacob to set-the-pace, while always gently encouraging his progression of skills. Ryan is the kind of teacher that inspires students to want to work hard without them feeling like they *have* to work hard. He makes music fun! Ryan's passion for music and flexibility in agenda was the fuel that got Jacob reenergized and has kept him excited about making music.
