Julie is the consummate professional. She took away the stress involved in serving our guests beverages at our daughter's wedding in a park setting. In planning, she always responded immediately to my questions and allayed my anxiety over every issue however small. Her suggestion of a Pimm's Cup cocktail was genius. Everyone loved it and her. Carolyn helped me with my sons high school graduation party. She did an excellent job. From creative ideas, to organizing, scheduling, setting up, making sure it all ran smoothly, as well as getting me a plate of food and making me eat it because I was so busy hosting. She is the best!!!!
I had researched a lot of wedding planners before deciding on Morgan. As soon as I met her, she was so warm and understanding of our needs that I knew she was the best fit. She exceeded our expectations taking on all of the responsibility allowing us to just enjoy the last month before our big day and letting us relax. Her professionalism and immediate response time allowed me the freedom to know that everything was in good hands. She made the build up, rehearsal dinner and wedding day all go so smoothly that I would actually do it all over again just knowing she was involved! She was by far, the best part of our choices for the wedding and handled everything as if it were her own. She has since become someone I can say is a friend too since she made us feel like we were just as important as her own family or friends would be. We picked June from the list of event planners recommended through Thumbtack. Being out of state, we needed June to work with my mother to determine her 90th birthday event wishes. June knew the questions to ask as well as the trade offs so my mother could make the best decisions for her. June also worked closely with me via phone and email on all the details. The event itself went perfectly. We could not have wished for a better event or a better event planner.
As an Event Planner for 18 years, I've had a lot of experience with caterers. Dahli and her crew were, by far, one of the easiest to work with. Dahli's incredible attention to detail and willingness to be flexible (and try new things) were essential for my last event. The food was flavorful, tender, fresh and beautiful! I highly recommend Rebecca's services. she is personal and professional and can pull of an elegant dinner party or a themed children's party, she even did our Christmas family reunion complete with crafts for the kids. She has great ideas for creative invitations and decorations, she planned activities ("photo booth", karaoke, games) and then she pulls it all together allowing me to spend time enjoy the event and my guests! Shoshana catered two lunches for our national network meeting of 30 people. She was prompt and professional. The food was delicious and nicely displayed. Her Mediterranean meal was a favorite amongst our guests and received many rave reviews.
Caroline did a fantastic job styling the 2017 Basketball Hall of Fame Induction After Party by Adidas at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA. We (Jx2 Productions) have worked with countless stylists and event planners over the years and Caroline is certainly one of the best. She has fantastic attention to detail especially in regards to brand identity. She knows how to carry the client's brand throughout the event as if they were in the room while the set up was happening. We appreciated her attention to detail, punctuality and her clear direction. Nothing is more frustrating than when a client isn't clear on what they need and you end up doing things over and over again to no avail however with Caroline she knows what is needed so we could get our job done quickly. Communication is always key! We never worked together before this event as she is from Portland, Oregon and we are based here in Massachusetts & Connecticut. Her ability to communicate clearly and concisely from long distances in a short period of time to get the job done was greatly appreciated. On Christmas Day 1998, my husband proposed to me! I was thrilled beyond imagination.... then reality struck! My husband had never been married (we were both in our forty's) and wanted to have the BIG Church wedding, with a guest list of 400+ and he wanted to do it April 4th! I was completely lost and overwhelmed with the planning! Then we were invited to a Valentine Day party at a friends home.....when we walked into their home I was completely transfixed by the beautiful and unique flower displays, table scapes, and candle displays that turned their home into one of the most beautiful and romantic spaces I had ever seen. The next day I called Marianna Love from Absolutely Beautiful who had been responsible for my friends homes Valentine transformation. I met with Marianna that week and we discussed my dilemma... A wedding that was just a few weeks away, and my desperation in getting it all pulled together. There are no words to fully express my appreciation and gratitude to Marianna! With little clear direction from the frazzled bride to be, Marianna put together and executed a plan that to this day people still refer to as the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended. The flowers, the silk draping , the table settings, candle displays and menu to name a few, were all beyond imagination with beauty, romance and originality. Marianna transformed the church and the reception venue into an unimaginable place of pure bliss. Guests described it as a "very swish affair"....."something out of a magazine"...."looks like a made for TV wedding straight from Hollywood." All of the ideas were the product of Marianna's imagination and incredible talent and she executed her plan flawlessly! Over the years Marianna has planned and executed Christmas parties including decorating our home and has continued to prove herself over and over again as one of the most creative and original party planners I've ever encountered. She's not only a tremendously talented woman, she is great fun! One of the nicest people I know!
Michael provided excellent sound and lighting services for two large high school reunions (500+ people) I coordinated. He coordinated with the musicians that were hired for the event, and made sure everything looked and sounded great. I highly recommend him for any DJ, sound and lighting needs! I also worked with Michael on several large fundraising auctions. He handled all my sound and AV needs expertly!
I could't be more happy that we hired Vanessa as our day-of-coordinator for our wedding. From the first meeting, Vanessa was professional and organized and also extremely interested in all of the details of my wedding. My expectation was really just for her to help me keep things organized on the day-of, but periodically throughout the entire wedding planning process she would reach out to offer recommendations and advice as needed. A couple weeks before the big day, she stepped in and took over for all my interactions with all of my vendors for me (she even called my hotel to see if I could check in early to drop off my wedding gown). This was such a huge relief, because she was able to filter the stressful conversations in addition to saving me TONS of time so I could enjoy my wedding week with friends and family. On the wedding day, Vanessa showed up early to take care of every need (including printing out my wedding vows that I forgot to print!) throughout the entire day she was everywhere she needed to be without anyone needing to ask! At one point, our shuttle bus (for pre-wedding photos) driver was lost, but he only spoke Spanish so we were having a hard time telling him where to go - the next thing I knew, Vanessa is sitting next to him giving step-by-step instructions IN SPANISH! Vanessa did a great job organizing so many aspect of the day, even at the end of the night, she organized a beautiful sparkler send-off and helped my in-laws load our personal items into the cars after we left. She even took some extra items that were left behind to her house for safe-keeping until I came home from my honeymoon. All-in-all.... Vanessa was the glue that held my wedding day together and I recommend her 110%
Callie is so professional and fun at the same time! She does everything and makes the bride feel at ease, even if thing are going the way you didn't expect them. She is also very creative and has great ideas. She gets things done!!! Anyone would be lucky to have her help plan your wedding or event.
My wife should be writing this review, but I want to take a moment to tell you what a great job Lisa (my wife) and Soleil Bliss Event Productions did for us. We had been planning our wedding for about 13 months and from the very beginning my wife knew she wanted a planner. Liz drove from Vancouver, WA to Seattle to meet with us as purely a consultation. Our first impression of Liz was here is a woman who knows how a wedding should be done. Within five minutes we knew we had found our planner. As my wife's vision of the wedding changed over the 13 months Liz was there every step of the way to help with any problems or offer solutions on how to make her plans become reality. The amount of stress that Liz took off my wife's shoulders as our special day drew near was astounding. On the day of our wedding Liz was able to fix a major dress malfunction, whip out two corsages for my wife's mother and my mother, coordinate a less than accommodating venue staff in reference to their idea of decorating, and all this was done after she had stayed up until close to 2 AM to decorate our ceremony and reception areas. Liz took a great event, location, setting, and environment and transformed it into something completely phenomenal. Our expectations were so far exceeded that we could not believe what she had created was our wedding. Thank you so very much Liz. I can't urge anybody reading this enough to talk with Liz and let her plan and coordinate your wedding. You will not regret a single moment nor worry in the slightest that your event will be anything less than extraordinary.
I was blessed to attend one event by Urban Events and it was absolutely great. The decorations were beautiful, the food was awesome, the flow of activities was timely and smooth. Guests were relaxed and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Highly recommend Urban Events. Awesome job and outstanding services.
I highly recommend Melissa Rubin for her party planning services. She put together a fabulous graduation party for my son for which we received many compliments. Not being a party planning person myself, I appreciated Melissas fresh ideas, attention to detail and take charge attitude. She was very willing to do as much or as little as I needed help with. She has many contacts in the business and her coordination was instrumental to a well-run event. I would not hesitate to work with her again.
Nataliya is hands down the best wedding planner a bride could ask for!!! She is extremely detail oriented and will make the best day of your life even better than you could imagine. She will help no matter how big or small the request is. From helping me find the perfect venue to cake to flowers she does it all. On the day of the wedding she made sure all the vendors knew where/what to do without me having to talk to anyone and just focus on being the bride. The venue looked perfect because she listened to everything I wanted and made it magically appear. My bridesmaids loved how kind and respectful she was when helping them find their places for the ceremony and herding them for the never ending photos I wanted. There is hands down no better wedding (or any other event) planner in Portland!!! I can’t wait to have another event that I can hire her to help me cause I know she will go above and beyond my expectations and make the day unforgettable.

Toni did an outstanding job as our wedding planner. We were short on time (8 weeks) and we asked Toni to plan the whole thing - location, flowers, cake, DJ, etc. She did an amazing job. Toni is fun to work with, a good communicator, very proactive, detailed orientated, and will follow through. She's also persistent in trying to get the best of everything at reasonable prices. Our wedding turned out even better than we expected and we had tons of positive comments from our guests. We'd highly recommend Toni for any wedding or special event.
