Joe is amazing!! My boyfriend and I have had a couple lessons with him, and, in one word, spectacular! Not only does his record speak for itself, but after just one class I can vouch that his techniques are top-notch. After only two classes, I already feel slightly more comfortable singing. For someone who’s extremely shy singing around other people, this is a genuine feat. I was genuinely worried I would choke up and couldn’t continue taking lessons out of fear of singing around a stranger, but Joe’s jokes and calming nature really makes you feel comfortable. He’s a funny and creative instructor who teaches you the foundations of singing to create a powerful singing voice that will stay with you for the rest of your life. I’m excited to continue lessons with him. Seriously, if you have any inklings to sing, contact Joe. Honestly, one of the things I look forward to in my week.
Dan is a wonderful teacher. He has been teaching my teenage daughter for almost a year now. Her self confidence has improved and so has her voice. Dan is patient and kind but tough in a good way that pushes my daughter to the next level. I would recommend Dan to anyone interested in professional singing lessons. We would go no where else. Thanks Dan ,Jeanette
I am a colleague of Jen Vanella. I taught voice and piano lessons in the Pittsburgh area for a little over six years before moving to New York City. Jen is currently my top recommendation for any students located in the city of Pittsburgh. I know her to big a kind and generous spirit. She takes the art of teaching very seriously, and makes it a point to differentiate her lessons to suit the unique needs of each student. I find her to be a colleague that is generous with her knowledge and praise. She is sure to promote healthy, balanced music making in all she encounters. I highly recommend her services!
I have been taking lessons with Melody for almost 5 years now, and I can't even begin to describe how thankful I am for her. She has helped me in so many ways and is truly one of the most amazing people I've ever met. If you decide to take up lessons with Melody or plan your party age Sing Sing Sing!, you won't regret it! Amazing talent and great personalities from Melody and Jackie❤
My kid has been taking lessons from MS. Becky for over 4 years now and she has progressed tremendously under her guidance. Her method of teaching involves theory and practice. I would highly recommend Ms. Becky Lewis!
I've been taking lessons on and off for years and Sean is by far the best teacher I've had. Sean is a great listener, has endless knowledge, and can tailor your lessons to any style of music you want to learn.
Hilerie is an excellent voice and performing arts teacher. My daughters had lessons with for over 4 years each. She works with the whole person, school environment and family. She develops high quality relationships that further the goals of all of her students: young children to folks in retirement. She emphasizes vocal health, general well-being, and high standards, whether a student wishes to perform publicly or sing at home. She is missed very much here in the Greater Binghamton area. Aspiring professionals, seasoned vocalists, and amateurs of every sort should seek her out quickly, before all of her openings are booked!
Sunburst is a well-run business. Staff are friendly and accommodating. My daughter enjoys her lessons and is learning a lot!
My daughter, who is 11 yrs old, is very comfortable with Kelly. She is not only teaching her how to use her voice but also how to express herself through her emotions and reactions to the music and words. She brings a theatrical edge to the lesson and it makes singing that much more fun and engaging for my daughter. In only 3 lessons we can already see such a difference and new level of comfort in her singing.
Excellent piano teacher for our four kids!
I am a rookie singer from the sticks of South Fayette township who has never had singing lessons before. I am going to Belmont University in Nashville Tennessee for vocal performance and chose country music as my career! Bev has taught me so much and I have only been working with her for 6 weeks. In those weeks she has taught me how to rope in my wild voice and control it will grace and power. I feel more confident leaving behind my hometown from her awesome instructions. She is one of a kind and will not disappoint you! Bev is number one and has taken my voice to a whole new level. Plus she is sweeter than sugar!
I took voice lessons on an impulse somehow thinking that freeing my natural voice may help me to move through other blockages in my life. It was true that I cringed every time I heard my recorded voice. I disliked speaking. Voice lessons therefore seemed like rich ground for healing. Gratefully, I was lead to Wendy. She is an intuitive and observant teacher. She believes in this work, and now I do. After a few months, I have witnessed a greater resonance in my voice. The lessons are deceptively simple. A series of relaxation and visualizations helps the student to observe sound within the body. Sounds simple but it is the students willingness to observe that is so important. I was shocked to learn how I muffled and restrained my voice in so many subtle and not so subtle ways. I am not a singer or actor so voice lessons may sound like an extravagance. I disagree. Voice lessons with Wendy have been a way for me to honor myself by getting out of my way. In terms of self-discovery, voice lessons have been a bargain.
Awesome voice teacher. My kids (14 & 12) love her.
Two of my daughters have taken lessons at New Song Studio..One of my daughters has taken acting lessons and the other takes Voice and Piano. I cannot say enough good things about New Song Studio. Jean is a very patient and encouraging instructor. My daughters have learned a lot from her and gained confidence in the process. Highly recommend!
Between the high expectations Mrs. Noullet had and the patience she showed in training me, the results were phenominal. Gail had this 'magic formula' by combining her knowledge of singing and constant encouragement (which I really needed!). Before taking voice lessons, I would have never been able to get up in front of a group of people (terrifying) and sing. I could tell that she loves teaching and that made me want to be even better for her. I made chamber chior and also had a singing part as one of the orphans in Plum Senior High's "Annie". I would recommend Mrs. Noullet to any parent wanting to give their child voice lessons. Best teacher in the area.
I give Ian 5 stars simply for the adaptability in his teaching style. He definitely knows his stuff about singing, and the more that he works with a student (like myself), he is able to find the root of some of the quirks that one may have and iron out the kinks. If you some kind of a performance, he is more than willing to help in any way he can, and if you don't have much but still want to learn to improve, he can help you learn that. From music theory, diction, technique, whatever you want, he will answer it, or go looking for the answer himself. Great confidence booster. 5/5 flat out.
Get your kids to learn the proper singing techniques at an early age with the help of David Mcafee. His vocal coaching services include learning the fundamentals, tricks, scaling, notes, and more.
It has been an amazing and motivating experience meeting Donald. This guy is REALLY talented and musically versatile. He is very passionate about his training when it comes to the client. Donald gives you JUST what you need to persevere and move forward as a vocalist. His push, patience, and honesty is what I also experienced. Coming into my very first lesson believing that I couldn't, I left knowing that I could. I hope those that are in need of a vocal coach get a chance to experience one of the best!
David is an excellent teacher. He explains everything so you can understand how your voice works and so you can eventually teach yourself. He brings a level of expertise that is unparalleled. He also brings humor which makes it fun to go. He's so patient so I never feel stupid. I've had to cancel so many times because of last minute scheduling conflicts and he has always been accommodating without seeming hassled even though I know it's a hassle when I change my schedule on him. Between violin, piano, drums, and songwriting lessons I've had MANY teachers over the years and David is superb in every way. You just can't go wrong taking from him. I can see myself growing with him for many years to come.

As a voice/piano teacher, I believe that my job is to allow the students to discover their own unique characteristics. I like to teach in an relaxed environment where the student will be able to develop a healthy (learning bad techniques can be harmful to the throat and body) strong techniques. It is important for the students to learn their own bodies and limit, while being taught to use their bodies to help produce beautiful singing. Singing is more than just about using their voice and achieving proper technique.. It is equally important to learn the music history, theory, acting, etc. appropriate to the piece they are working on. When everything comes together with proper singing and the correct knowledge, students will be able to perform a piece in an intelligent manner. Finally, something I have learned from my previous teachers, it is important to go beyond being just a teacher, and become a role-model and a mentor to my students.
I teach children and adults guitar, rhythm and lead plus bass guitar. I can also teach some beginner piano and singing lessons.
