Chloe is simply amazing! From the very first lesson she was incredibly relaxed and easy to get along with. She instantly knew what my weaknesses were and what to do to solve them. The way that she explains concepts is incredible and very easy to instantly apply to my voice. Chloe not only knows her stuff, but her personality makes each lesson just so pleasant and enjoyable to go too. She has helped my improve my voice so much and each lesson is the highlight of my week!
John has been a perfect teacher for me because of his profound understanding of music theory and composition. John has a degree in music from Berklee and those concepts are brought to life in our lessons. My musical understanding and ability has skyrocketed since our lessons began. Prior to us starting, jamming with other musicians was incredibly intimidating. Now I have standing weekly jam sessions with multiple groups and am able to old my own and improvise well at each. I have become the teacher for many of my friends who I previously thought were years ahead of me in musical talent. If you have the hunger to learn guitar, John is your guy.
I just started voice lessons with Mary. Would highly recommend. She is able to access voice range and inflection very quickly, build on your strengths, and help you improve in areas that need more development. She will get you started right away, whatever your desired goals are.
My 13 year old daughter just started voice lessons with Kitty. She has a very nice, relaxed approach and clearly has an understanding of what it takes to sing well.
Have been taking singing lessons for a month so far and it is so much fun. I always leave with a smile on my face and progressively getting better week by week. Rosalind is a great teacher, very enthusiastic and has been amazing. Looking forward to my next lesson!!
We have been students of the Piano Workshop for 7 years. Mark, the director, does a great job at matching students with teachers and is very accommodating to work with scheduling lessons especially with families that have very full schedules. We enjoy the recordings done at every recital and they make a good teaching tool as well. There are lots of teachers of various disciplines so students of all musical talents can benefit at the Piano Workshop. It's a professionally run outfit that I would recommend to all families.
Katie is my daughter's favorite teacher. I've never seen my child come back unhappy from one of her lessons. She is always encouraging, has the most positive teaching philosophy, and is always encouraging my daughter to take risks and perform. With Katie's support and guidance, my daughter has participated in several vocal competitions, and is blossoming into a beautiful singer. With love, Katie was able to open up my child's desire to learn and take the extra step to excel.
Arturo Spinetti is an extraordinarily gifted vocal artist AND teacher. I consider myself very lucky to have received voice lessons from such a knowledgable musician. Mr. Spinetti brought more out of my voice than I ever thought possible and introduced me to opera, a genre I was ignorant of until that point. It soon became my favorite as Mr. Spinetti painstakingly showed me the technique. His kindness, patience and remarkable talent made voice lessons a pleasurable learning experience that has stuck with me years later.
I went to Debra for voice lessons, she is an amazing teacher. She really helped me grasp concepts and helped me improve my vocal performance in a way I never imagined. She is a great teacher and I reccomend her for anyone looking to serisiosly improve their singing ability.
Jed instructed me in guitar and voice lessons. Jed is a great teacher - I learned a lot from him and he helped me to understand the parts of music that were confusing to me before. I appreciated his encouraging, laid back demeanor. He was never late to a lesson and was very accommodating with his schedule. He is extremely knowledgable of his field and I would recommend him to anyone!
I am going on my second month of guitar lessons as a beginner. In this short period of time I have learned so much from Lou about playing guitar. When I started I did not even know how to read the notes. Now I do, Lou is always courteous, fun, and very informative. He goes above and beyond as an instructor. He is patient and teaches at the appropriate level without rushing. He always offers to answer questions if needed during the week in between the lessons. He is very talented and it is so apparent that he loves what he does. Lou is an outstanding instructor and I would proudly recommend him to others looking to learn to play the guitar.
I have taken voice lessons with Markus for the past 2 years, and he has helped me make great improvements in my technique. He teaches the foundations of breathing and support, as well as maximizing my resonance for better efficiency. As a bonus, Markus knows *so* much about opera and musical theater rep and always coaches me to help me find the subtle ways of expressing myself in any aria or song. He is an awesome teacher and a caring person!
I teach healthy vocal technique that is necessary for successful singing in all musical styles. This is done in an encouraging environment where students enjoy discovering their unique voice and how to use it in multiple styles of music. All ages and abilities are welcome for individual or group instruction.
Very knowledgeable and fun to work with.
I thought my first lesson with Jessica Beebe went very smoothly and was very productive. I think she is very knowledgable in music and the voice and a very understandable, kind hearted person. I highly recommend her as a vocal coach for any style of music. I'm looking forward to my upcoming lessons. :)
John was the first person to talk to me about the mechanics of my voice in a graspable way. I finally understood the muscles, make-up and function of my instrument, and, being a dancer, that made so much more sense to me than the etherial idioms so many other teachers tried to convey. I finally had exercises and drills that I could work on daily. I was able to relax certain muscles, strengthen others, and learn to "play" my voice the way it was meant to be. That, coupled with the professional, organized, safe space that he provides in his home studio, gave me the courage to practice, trust and succeed. I am proud to call myself a singer, now, and John had a heck of a lot to do with that. I am grateful!
I pay attention to how my students learn. I listen to their needs and craft their lessons to fit them, not a standard learning pattern.
I specialize in vocal music. My extensive education prepared me with vocal pedagogy and diction of world languages.
Welcome! I have taught college level music courses and lessons as well as community member students ranging from 5 to the elderly. Students have wanted to take voice lessons for numerous different reasons (church choirs, high school auditions, competitions, beginning theory, community members and college music majors). The main goal is to instill healthy singing in a positive environment. Let's schedule a first lesson.
I give voice and piano lessons to all ages. I have over 15 years of experience. I specialize in classical and musical theater styles but also can teach pop, sacred, gospel and jazz styles as well. I studied music at Westminster Choir College.
I like to view each new student with a fresh attitude and start without a rigid teaching method. I believe that everyone learns differently and prescribe to a meet people where they are at philosophy, if something is not working I am always prepared to present information in multiple ways.
