Introduction: My job is to help you take the next step by adapting each lesson specifically for you and your goals. Whether you want to play by ear, play in a group, write songs or just play for personal enjoyment, I can help! Music has been my life, from playing piano at the age of six to spending the majority of twenties touring in an independent rock/pop-punk band. I can't think of a moment where music hasn't played a significant role in my life. There are 3 things I love doing with music. Teaching, songwriting, helping other musicians develop and shape their songs.

Mike has been incredible in helping me not only learn new guitar skills, but also in helping me refine the existing ones. Mike also makes his lessons fun and engaging by letting the student learn these new skills by playing the music he/she wants to play. I believe it is extremely important to find an instructor who speaks the same language as you when it comes to explaining and conveying new information, and from my experience Mike does that very very well.

Mike is an excellent teacher with a strong understanding of everything from fundamentals to fireworks on the guitar. He is talented in finding where a student is in their musical journey, meeting them there, and taking them where they want to go. Importantly, he also has a great sense of humor and is a hoot to hang out with.

I've been taking lessons with Mike for 5 years now and I highly recommend him to anyone that asks me about taking lessons. He's an extremely talented guitar player and songwriter as well as a genuinely nice guy. Whether you're a beginner just starting out or you're an advanced musician just looking for some refinement, I strongly recommend signing up for a lesson with Mike. He teaches you at your pace and is possibly the most positive person I've ever met. I'm really glad I started taking lessons with him all those years ago and I look forward to learning from him for years to come.

Mike is my piano teacher. He is a wonderful and patient teacher. He explains and shows you in a way you can understand. He never tires of going over the lesson as often as needed. It's enjoyable to play the piano and the songs I thought I could never play. Thank-you Mike!

The 1st lesson is always fun. Its where you get to understand my background in music and what our lessons would look like on a weekly basis. And I enjoy getting to hear what students want to learn and why.
