Found on your site, and although I never hired a band sight or sound unheard, they were just perfect. I would not hesitate recommending them. They played everything I wanted, and more.
Matt was fabulous and I cannot wait until I have another event to hire him again. He arrived as promised on-time and prepared to perform for the wedding ceremony for our daughter. He played beautifully and then performed flawlessly during the cocktail hour. I loved his guitar playing skills and vocals! Before hiring him we were able to view his singing skills on-line and we were confident he would be great. The truth is, he is even better in person! 5 stars for Matt Santry!
Dorothy played violin for my September wedding ceremony as well as the violin part for our first dance song. She is a true professional and an all around pleasure to work with in any capacity! Her skills with the violin have only increased over the past few years and she is an absolutely beautiful player. I could seriously listen to her playing all day. Additionally, Dorothy was very helpful in picking out the music for the ceremony. I have a lot of experience singing with choirs during Catholic masses but I was overwhelmed by trying to select pieces to use during our mass and wedding ceremony. Dorothy and I Skyped, she played little segments to remind me of the songs and then we made our selections together. Thanks to her guidance, this process was quick and painless. She also worked long distance with the church music director and I heard only positive feedback from the other musicians and church staff. Even with being states away from me and the church, Dorothy pulled off a beautiful set without even breaking a sweat. I can still hear the sounds of her beautiful violin on our wedding day and it brings such joy to think about. If you are considering Dorothy for any project, do not hesitate. She is the best decision you could possibly make!
Very much appreciated his personable character and willingness to inform me on as much as he knew about electric guitar. Very much looking forward to working with him moving forward!
Hadi Sumoro is an excellent teacher, and an even better player. As a teacher, he's patient, knowledgable, and provides excellent advice that helps you develop your skills. And as a player, he is as good as it gets. He can play just about anything. Best was that he takes the time to speak with you and ask what kind of atmosphere you want to create with music, and then does exactly what was asked.
I have known Fran as a close friend and worked with her on stage for quite a few years. She has a lifetime of experience performing in front of crowds, and it shows. She has a deep love of music, a strong, soulful voice, and a friendly and fun stage presence. She's a joy to work with and everyone loves when she comes to sing!
Scott was amazing. The party guests just loved his music. He was a true professional and a pleasure to work with. We would definitely hire him again.
We are extremely thankful to have found Matt for our 16 yr old guitar needs. We are a family totally new to electric guitar. Matt went above and beyond with assisting us is finding all the equipment needed for lessons. The lessons are not text book in and out. Matt takes the time needed to assure the next steps in his learning. Lessons are as needed to move to the next steps and your readiness and willingness to learn. I would recommend Matt to ANYONE looking for guitar needs. Any questions or one on one feedback you may gladly contact us at 6107670246.
I have had many voice teachers over the years and Katie is the best! I'm far from a professional, but always felt other teachers would talk down to me and I'd be assigned the same music from teacher to teacher (Sorry, "Caro Mio Ben"). Not Katie. She worked with me to find things that were interesting to me and fit my ability. I now look forward to my lessons every week. PS: Katie is also great on the piano, something that makes lessons that much better!
My 14yo son has had the opportunity over the years to have a number of different electric guitar teachers. Sean Fox is in the top two favorites he's had. As a parent, I'm very pleased that Sean's location is not too far and tuition is reasonable. My only wish is that the sessions were 45 minutes instead of 30.
I don't hire bands that often but Joe made me feel that he had everything under control. He showed up earlier than we had arranged and had a big smile on his face. His music was fabulous and he brought his dad who plays the accordion for that extra special touch. The range of music was fabulous. He knew when to play what for the mood of the party. He and his partner were outstanding. I highly recommend them.
Conor is a kind man and really great cello teacher. He always listens to my questions no matter how dumb I think they are. I’m third generation musicaian so I know a great teacher when I see one, and Conor is definitely great. He’s very patient, historically informative, and his passion not just for performing but teaching as well shines through very easily. Every lesson I leave feeling even more excited about playing the cello than before which I didn’t think was possible. I take lessons with him via Skype because we live 3000 miles apart so that’s very convenient. I don’t have to lug my cello around San Francisco or even leave my bedroom. Conor is very understanding about my health problems too. I can’t recommend him highly enough! He’s definitely the best cello teacher I’ve ever had!
Testimonial for David Joel, Guitar Instructor: My name is Ken and I have been playing guitar for 43 years since the age of 12. I took lessons for about 2 years at the very beginning. I never learned how to read music in the traditional sense, just tab. I have played in classic rock bands over the years. Several years ago I reached a point in my playing that I felt I could not get any better and was playing the same music, leads over and over again. I was convinced that all I could learn was what I could hear or was shown by other musicians. I knew I developed bad technique habits over the years as well. I wanted to get better and began looking for an instructor on-line and found David Joel. A brief review of Davidâs web-site indicated he was well-versed in all styles on electric, acoustic and classical guitar. The backbone of Davidâs approach is based on the Berklee Series Modern Method books by William Leavitt. It requires the guitarist to read and play musicâ¦something I never did and as it turns out contributed to my âilliteracyâ or lack of language or âdataâ as David refers to music. In the 2 ½ years that I studied with David he completely changed my technique, increased my potential to play a variety of styles and improvise and helped me to achieve many of my goals as a player. He is amazingly encouraging and very real when it comes to students of all ages. I currently enjoy playing in a number of classic rock bands and praise band at church. Thanks David!
DJ Yardi was absolutely wonderful to work with. He consulted with me before the event on which music I was interested in. The night of the event, he arrived on time, set up his equipment and tested everything to make sure it was working properly. When the guests arrived, the music was on and sounding great. He followed through on my music selection and requests and was very professional. Would definitely hire him again!
I absolutely LOVED Ray Bocolli and the team. I am still in awe of the entire experience. I know my day wouldn’t have been as magical without Elegance Quartet doing what they do best. Ray worked with me from beginning to end, keeping up communication, answering my 100 questions, and even creating a piece of music just for me! I will never forget my big day, but I will especially never forget how Elegance Quartet made it the wedding of my dreams!
