I have to say to myself, Why haven't I done this sooner. On Friday night we had a ladies night, 5, and Tony prepared 5-6 dishes and each one was amazing, delicious. He prepares well by asking all the right questions regarding the group he is preparing for and then executes it exquisitely!! I can't wait to plan my next event with Tony and I will also be doing some cooking classes with him. Tony from all of us ladies on Fri May 29th we thank you so such a wonderful special evening.
With 3 kids and 2 jobs the choices that I must make when it comes to mealtime are usually based on what is easy, not what is best for my family. Cooking for the 5 of us is more time consuming than our schedules permit. (Even more so when you are mediocre, at best,at cooking such as I am) Allison brought "Dinner Time" back into our home. She was on time for our initial consultation and listened to my family's likes and dislikes. When she left my kitchen was cleaner than when she got here and I was left with prepackaged meals that all I had to do was pull them out of the freezer and reheat them with the step by step instructions that she left. I simply don't have the time to plan,shop,cook,and clean for balanced meals and Allison is now my solution for that. I look forward to seeing you in two weeks. Thank you for everything!!
Tanya prepared and presented a simply outstanding dinner for four at our hotel in Ocean City New Jersey last night. She brought all food, cooking equipment, created a centerpiece for the table, prepared the 4 course meal as we enjoyed drinks. Combined with Linda serving, this was just perfect! The food was gourmet and very meticulously prepared and presented. We all loved it and look forward to doing this again.
Chef Guidry of Twice the Spice Caterer food was delicious! She delivered personal chef service for a special birthday dinner party. The food was very fresh and high grade/quality. The menu items were well balanced and included an appetizer, several different entrees, and desert. Stephanie even brought drink mixers and adjusted the menu to everyones liking, taste, and dietary. Chefs professionalism extended throughout her cooking and presentation. She was even able to accommodate a few unexpected guests. The food was well prepared, finely seasoned to perfection, absolutely picture perfect and enjoyably delicious! She definitely brought a fine dining restaurant experience to our home handling the shopping, cooking, serving and cleanup. We will definitely utilize Chef Guidry of Twice the Spice Caterer again! Frances Rose is a pleasure to be around in the kitchen, and just one taste of her creations will have you asking for more. Every dish I have experienced has blown me away. My last meal with her was vegan gluten-free pumpkin acorn pancakes and fresh homemade horchata (and chocolate rice milk, and vegan Mexican Hot Chocolate, because the food processor was so much fun). She has a deep passion for food and flavor, and even more so for the energy that she gets to put into it. When I am helping her prepare meals (for friends and family, or for the Community Supported Kitchen she runs), she keeps herself organized and focused. She is always ready to share insight into the ingredients we are preparing, tips on how to prepare them, and maybe even a story or two about her personal connections with them. I have watched her keep a dozen people on task, which can feel overwhelming in a kitchen, yet she does so with a pleasant gentleness, out of a joy of co-creating with others. She has the tools, the knowledge, and the enthusiasm to share her gifts with the world. I would recommend her culinary skills to anyone.
Donna came prepared and spent three hours patiently showing my friend and I proper knife/cutting techniques. She was very knowledgeable on the proper care of knives, the different kinds (the must-haves) and how they should be sharpened/maintained. I learned a lot and had a lot of fun. I also ended the night a large/delicious dish of tabbouleh to enjoy over the next few days. I would highly recommend Donna to anyone who is looking for a personal cooking lesson/demonstration.
Jamie was professional, patient, and extremely helpful when teaching my wife and I the basics of cooking, baking, and healthy eating.
We had an excellent time cooking with Chris Paul. It is clear he is exceedingly knowledgeable about food and how best to prepare it. He can easily craft lessons for any skill level from novice (us) to expert (him). We had a great time learning cooking and baking basics with him over four classes. If you are interested in learning more about cooking, I highly recommend taking a class (or four).
I contacted Kathy through Thumbtack to provide a cooking class for Central Jersey Tri Delta Alumnae Chapter. Seven of us met Chef Kathy at Jersey Girl Cafe in Hamilton, NJ. We assisted Kathy and learned how to make: Tuscan white bean and organic spinach salad, Napoli Chicken, butternut squash rice pilaf and molten chocolate lava cakes. We spent about 2 hours cooking the meal and then enjoyed another hour eating it. Kathy gave great tips on everything from how to use a chef knife to the best way to keep chicken breasts from drying out in the cooking process. Along the way, she gave us information about healthy eating and freshness of vegetables we choose. Kathy has an easy-going personality. Our evening was fun, informative and delicious eating. I would definitely recommend Kathy and all her cooking/catering expertise. I look forward to doing this again sometime.
Great hands-on teacher who really knows what he's doing. Plus, the food is sooo good!! From ingredients to cooking methods, this is the best cooking class I ever had. I learned new techniques and how to properly season, prep, and cook veggies and proteins. Definitely recommend and I'll work with him again soon. Perfect for a gift, meal prep, or to cook a whole meal for a party.
I am presently taking a beginning cooking class with Nancy and I am loving every minute of it. She is a fantastic teacher and tons of fun! She's got great ideas and is a wealth of knowledge about all types of food preparation and has a lot of experience with many different eating styles. I consider myself a guy who knows his way around the kitchen, but after one class with Paul I learned new meal preparation and cooking techniques, and feel even more confident around the kitchen... and I was the host! Our guests raved about their experience and continued to request follow up sessions. Some people even hired him as their personal or family chef!
