My sofa was ruined by cats urine. Mike told me that there is not much that can be done to guarantee to get rid of the odor for good. He was the only one out of all the companies I contacted that was so honest with me. Great trade in sales and services industry. Thank you

It is hard to tell the difference due to the varied carpet color we have so the before and after pics didn't do it justice. The house feels like it got a face lift. He got up all the dog hair and pet odors and they look and feel great. The drying time was just under a full day which we expected. The only reason for 4 stars is there was some post job clean up in our bathroom I had to do, splash off from the dirty water.

On time , professional and easy going. He was thorough with his job. Cleaned up some of the stains which we thought would never go. We had professionals clean last time too but it was not the same result. Will certainly have him back again in future.

I hired US Clean Pro Services LLC to clean my carpets and I have nothing but great things to say! I had some pet stains that I thought were impossible to get out but Taj and his team worked their magic and my carpets look practically brand new. Taj was very helpful in explaining the process to me and he was very efficient with his work. My daughter and I were home while the carpets were getting cleaned and he made sure that we comfortable the entire time he and his team were cleaning. I also spoke with the owner, Terry, and he was extremely professional and made sure that I was taken care of. I would absolutely recommend US Clean Pro Services LLC to anyone looking to have their house cleaned. The before and after results of my carpets are unbelievable. Outstanding customer service!

When I noticed my basement was starting to smell dingy and musky, I did some research online and decided to get a professional opinion. We only use the basement for storage and to do laundry, being a new mom I want to provide a healthy environment for my family. Tom and his staff took the time to educate me on what type of damage mold can do if unnoticed and not treated to my property and most importantly to our health. They were able to work with our schedule to come out and evaluate my basement providing me with a free estimate. After consulting with 2 other companies, I know I made the right decision awarding Mastertech Environmental with the job. They are very professional, very thorough with cleaning up and making sure I was satisfied with their work. They offered me a reasonable rate, made me feel as if I was a priority, Tom and his staff are very down to earth, gave me a peace of mind knowing I was working with honest people who really cared.

We have a few pets at home and pet hairs have always been a problem for us. Their hairs sometimes get mixed up with the fibers from the carpet and rugs that it takes a lot of time for me to remove the hairs. So I called up Cleaning Revolution to help me with my problem and since then I no longer have to get down on my knees and take each strand of hair. Thanks Cleaning Revolution!

this was a terrific experience. Ron understands how to address these difficult odors. We made arrangements, Ron came when promised, and did the job at a fair price. A home we were not able to put on the market due to smoke and pet odors now smells clean! It goes on the market this week. Thank you Ron. Really great working with you. Anyone with an odor issues, Ron and his company are the way to go.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

      Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

      What is upholstery cleaning?

From your carpets to your drapes to your furniture, all fabrics need to be cleaned. Cleaning upholstery, or the fabric on your furniture, removes the dirt and oils that are transferred to couches and chairs through regular use. Because furniture upholstery can be delicate and colors can fade easily, it’s often a good idea to let professional sofa cleaners handle the job. They’ll determine the type of fabric — usually cotton, linen, wool, suede or microfiber — and the appropriate method for cleaning it, either steam-cleaning or applying a dry-cleaning solvent. In general, cleaning an entire piece of furniture includes a pretreatment, cleaning, and neutralizing rinse to the body, plus removing and cleaning all cushions and cleaning all crevices.

An upholstery cleaner may clean the entire piece of furniture, on a regular schedule or by request, or do spot treatments to remove pet, food, drink, or oil and grease stains. Furniture can also be deodorized to remove the smell of pets or tobacco smoke. Furniture that’s used often, like that in your family room, should be cleaned once a year to keep it fresh and extend its life. Sofa cleaners often also offer repair services to mend tears in fabric or patch holes in leather.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.

How much does it cost to clean a carpet?

Carpet cleaning costs vary depending on the type of cleaning, such as steam cleaning, and whether there are any stains that require special treatment. The main cost factors are the square footage of the carpet and the material it’s made from. The national average carpet cleaning price ranges from $100 to $130 for a typical suburban home, but steam cleaning prices start at an average of $120. In general, professional carpet cleaning ranges from an average of 20 cents to 50 cents per square foot, depending on where you live. Many companies have a minimum fee or room requirement — such as two rooms for an average of $40 each — and will charge more to clean carpeted stairs or a second floor. Finally, the carpet fiber type, density and pile will also affect the cost of cleaning; man-made fibers are stain-resistant and easier to clean, while wool carpeting is sensitive to water and requires more care.
