- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a Discovery Call to blend your vision with our aesthetic. Next, I build a Custom Strategy Lab, mapping out every individual detail. Once you approve the mood board, I handle all Vendor Coordination and logistics. On event day, I’m on-site managing (if applicable) the “magic,” so you can simply enjoy being the host. It’s a seamless, professional transition from a simple idea to a breathtaking reality.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Honestly, The J-LAAB Collective started exactly where most of my best ideas do—right at home with my husband and our five children. I didn’t set out to start a business; I just wanted to create magic for my own kids. I found myself obsessing over every tiny detail of their birthdays, from the perfect color palettes to the thematic flow of the room, just to see that spark of wonder in their eyes. What started as ‘just a mom’ putting together a celebration quickly turned into a deep passion for the ‘science’ of a perfect event. I realized that the same high-end execution I poured into my family’s milestones was exactly what other people were looking for. Now, I bring that same level of personal devotion and meticulous planning to every client, treating your vision with the same heart and soul I give to my own children’s biggest moments.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of my favorite recent projects was an Easter celebration I curated for the children at Little Magic Moments Academy. It was such a joy to see the pure magic on the kids’ faces when I surprised them with a visit from my professional Easter Bunny I brought along for the day! I personally organized custom gift baskets for each child and set up a fun, festive backdrop for high-quality photos. Watching the children light up with excitement was wonderful, but the true reward was the reaction from the parents. They were so impressed by the seamless organization and the fact that their little ones had such a thoughtful experience right at their daycare. It’s those moments of total client satisfaction and seeing a vision bring so much happiness to a community that reminds me why I love what I do at The J-LAAB Collective.
