Cant speak highly enough about Adam. I felt he went above and beyond for a guitar teacher. He challenged me to perform at an open mic fairly early (I couldnt play a full song before starting lessons) and took his own time to come support me. He teaches piano too and has a great understanding of music theory. This was big for me as music theory is fascinating to me. Our lessons were very relaxed and always left me excited to get home and practice more. My interest in guitar is fairly schizophrenic and I like to change focus all the time to cover as much ground in our precious weekly hour. Adam did a great job working with my idiosyncrasies and taught me a great amount in the few months we had lessons. (I moved out of town)Feb 16, 2016VerifiedAdam Kal Music's reply
Thanks Max! It was a pleasure teaching you. I'm excited to see how much more you continue to grow as a guitar player and songwriter. Let me know if you ever move back to the area.
Adam is very professional and personable. He has only the best intent for his clients. I called Adam for guitar lessons and he worked around my schedule and was very flexible. He also went out of his way to pass on information for events etc. that would help me to appreciate music. Thanks Adam, for all your help and friendship :-)May 17, 2015Adam Kal Music's reply
Thanks, Dan. Your lighthearted and laid back personality made it a joy to teach you. Thank you for inviting me to play at your wedding. I will always cherish that experience.
Adam K. Is an excellent teacher. Adam takes the time to evaluate new students, find out what their goals are and then customizes a lesson plan. Adam's lesson allows the student to learn music theory and new songs. I appreciate Adam's patience and his positive learning environment. Thanks Adam!Apr 2, 2020Verified
Adam is a wonderful guitar instructor. He is very knowledgable and he is always calm, patient and very encouraging. He taught me a lot of ways to practice and enjoy music. Thank you Adam ! I would highly recommend !Mar 31, 2017Verified
Adam helped me form a good foundation on which to build off off over the course of our time together. He takes the time to focus on mastering a single concept before moving on to the next topic. Another quality I found helpful was his responsiveness to emails and texts. Whenever an issue came up that prevented him or I (mostly I lol) he would accommodate my request to reschedule. I plan on taking lessons from Adam in the future and would recommend him to anyone interested in exploring music!Feb 6, 2020Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Private and Group lessons
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The first lesson focuses on collecting information about musical or lesson experiences and explaining my teaching method. I will provide some introductory materials and based on the student's ability and goals, and recommend materials to purchase. We will create specific daily, weekly, and monthly goals for you to achieve, which may be modified later based on progress. What you can expect: After 3 to 6 months of lessons with regular practice you will have learned 3 or 4 songs of your choice and numerous ways of expressing yourself through music. You will have a basic knowledge of chords, how to read musical notation, strumming patterns and basic rhythms. To achieve these results, you must be willing to practice 20-30 minutes a day most days each week.
