About

Bill Coccagna is teaching my grandson, Joey, how to play the piano. Joey began the lessons prior to his 5th birthday. He likes going to his lessons. He enjoys playing the piano and keyboard. Mr. Bill's positive feedback is key to Joey's enthusiasm for learning.

About

What a fantastic teacher! So friendly and incredibly passionate about music. Michael was able to help me with 2 of my vocal issues during our very first lesson. I'm eager to return and may also take piano lessons from him in the future.

I'm an adult beginner - took a few lessons many years back and decided to try again about a year ago. I found that I really needed a teacher. I started taking piano lessons with Lorie at the end of last year, and I am super happy with my progress. I always look forward to my lessons. Lorie is an extremely motivating teacher - she is clearly dedicated to seeing me improve as a pianist. She's taught me so much already about technique and theory, but what I am especially impressed with is her ability to communicate clearly how to address those trouble spots and most importantly, how to bring out the "music" in a piece to make it sound great. I also really appreciate being able to work with her in picking out the pieces I will be learning, so that it's not just the fundamentals but also the music I love. I also really like the online format of our lessons - it was hard for me to find a teacher nearby who would take on an adult student. The Skype lessons are super easy and convenient - which is just another plus with Lorie's top-notch teaching.

My experience working with Solveig was absolutely great! Solveig is very patient and a great instructor. She works with you to accomplish your goals and is always encouraging and supportive. She is very skilled and has a very strong musical background, making her very knowledgeable in our lessons. Solveig has a very relaxed demeanor which made lessons very pleasant and made learning and focusing on the piano much easier. I would absolutely recommend Solveig for instruction on the piano!

I`ve been taking guitar lessons from Steve for seven weeks now and I find him to be a GREAT teacher and very knowledgeable on everything when it comes to anything related to music. If you want to know anything about a particular instrument or Amp or anything related to music Steve can guide you. I`m an older student and mentally handicapped sometimes ;) and he`s very patient with me. I give him 5 stars and would recommend to him to anyone.

About

Paul has been giving my 7-year old son piano lessons for over a year, and I'm amazed at how much my son has progressed! Paul has been using the Faber Piano Adventure series to teach him the basics, which is varied enough to keep my son interested and to help him improve every week. Paul has a calm temperament that works well in getting my "active" son to focus for every 45 minute lesson. Paul is fantastic and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

About

I am a Berklee graduate in piano and voice. I have performed for many years in many musical styles, including jazz, top 40, classical, opera and others. I have owned and operated a teaching studio/music store for ten years. I have been teaching both voice and piano for over 20 years.. I now do not perform regularly due to parenting, but I enjoy teaching immensely. I teach beginners to virtuosic. I work with my students to perfect the basics, like scales, and I am familiar with all styles of music as I customize lessons to the students' needs. Adults and children are equally enjoyable for me to teach.. Thank you for your consideration. I am happy to answer all of your questions concerning my abilities, your needs, etc. Best Regards, Mary

About

Adam did a great job teaching me the basics of the keyboard. I have no music background and have never been taught to play an instrument. I wanted to learn 1 song for my wedding. Adam learned the song and wrote the notes for me so I could easily learn them. He was flexible with scheduling and always remembered where we left off even if there were several months between lessons (due to my schedule). He was very patient even when I struggled. I would recommend Adam for keyboard/piano lessons.

About

Carol has been wonderful as a music teacher. I was very nervous to start piano as an adult learner since it had been many years that I played. Carol is understanding, calm and motivating. She also challenges me with varied music and methods of learning. Although I am taking piano lessons, I am also learning music theory and the ability to accompany other instruments. I would highly recommend Carol as a music teacher.

My two sons are taking Suzuki Piano lessons with Moe's Piano Studio. Joseph is ten years old and every week he looks forward to his piano lesson at Moe's Piano Studio. Moe has been teaching him for over two years. We originally chose Moe's because he is truly dedicated to teaching piano and to his students mastering Suzuki. Moe uses a variety of games and activities to keep the students motivated and on track. He also rewards his students when they reach milestone achievements by awarding certificates, trophies and prizes. Most importantly, Moe holds a number of piano performance recitals throughout the year so the students always have a goal they are working towards. Moe has a great personality. He is professional yet at the same time friendly and funny. This is why Moe is also perfect for the very young student. Matthew was just 4 years old when he started Suzuki piano at Moe's Piano Studio. The many motivating games and activities that Moe employs while teaching Matthew enhance the learning experience. Both of my sons are excellent piano players due to the first class lessons at Moe's. - Marta, Franklin Lakes

It was by luck that we found Ms. Renee's MYC program! With our two older children, we have started lessons with various teachers but none have held their interest. Far too often, music lessons are either boring, repetitive, discouraging and/or simply not that much fun! As a result, my older two children did not continue with their piano lessons... This past fall, I began again to look for a music program suitable for our 6 yr old and 8 yr old daughters. I was intrigued by the MYC program since it was unlike any other piano lessons offered in the current market. Music for Young Children is comprehensive and expertly integrates singing, ear training, sight reading, creative movement, rhythm, music theory and music composition. It is incredible to witness the level of encouragement and joy that is built directly into the curriculum of MYC. This allows for a child’s joyful nature to be supported, while learning musical concepts in a deep and meaningful way. Over the past several months, we have been gifted with a solid music education in a family fun group-based environment that enhances parent and child involvement. In addition to a qualify program, we love Ms. Renee. She is a kind, gentle and talented teacher whose love for music has been fostered in our children. It is not unusual for our children to leave the lesson commenting on how much they enjoyed their lessons. In addition to enjoying the lessons, the children can be found singing the songs, making musical connections and gravitating to the piano. And, more recently, we performed our recital pieces at a local nursing home. Ms. Renee has taught us that music is a gift... and a gift that should be shared... In my humble opinion, MYC is indeed the best quality music education I have had the pleasure to experience. Terri McDonald

Bonita Grady has been willing to come to my house in Bethlehem, PA and teach me although I'm a senior citizen away from the piano for more than 50 years. She is knowledgeable, understands my (in)abilities and has been able to guide me through challenging pieces as well as simple exercises with many practical hints as well as overall guidance.

I have known Jacob for several years; he is a fellow teacher at one of the NYC music schools. Jacob is a distinguished pianist, composer, and piano teacher. He possesses a vast knowledge on various musical subjects, such as: piano technique, interpretation, improvisation, composition, theory, harmony, rhythm etc. He is also known for having great contact with students - the ability to understand and to connect with different personalities and people of different backgrounds and ages. His precise and thoughtful presentation of the structure of both music and the instrument is always clear and motivating for students. I highly recommend him as a teacher for any skill level.

My daughter has had a couple of piano classes with Elizabeth. I am very pleased and happy with the way my daughter has taken an interest to practice everyday and be perfect with her pieces. The reason for 4 stars(I had to be honest with my review) is because I haven't had the time to experience the "outstanding" but its definitely been "good". My daughter likes Elizabeth and her influence on my daughter's interest in music has been good so far and I hope it will only get better!

Absolutely love her energy. She is very accommodating and strives to create a routine that brings out your strength as a vocalist. I love that beyond being a teacher she also wants to learn from her students she is phenomenal!! I definitely recommend her to anyone that is in need of voice lessons.

Adrienne has been giving my daughter weekly piano lessons for almost 2 years now. She started teaching my daughter when she was 4 and now she is almost 6. Adrienne said when she first started teaching my daughter, that she was her youngest student. Kids are not always easy to relate to but Adrienne really has a special way of being nice and fun but a little bit strict when needed. Her lessons are multifaceted in the sense they don't just learn notes and play keys. There is the study of music, written activities, she even had my daughter write her own song and then play it back. Adrienne is always finding new ways to keep piano lesson fresh and fun. She is always finding new books for my daughter as her knowledge of piano grows. I think she is a wonderful teacher and my daughter would definitely agree :)
