Jim Grubb knows his stuff. Several years ago, he and I met while he was doing some work in my neighborhood. My wife had been "hinting" that she wanted stone work around our new pool to complete "the look" (eye roll). I reluctantly went over to ask him a few questions, and I (wrongly) anticipated he was probably going to try to oversell himself, and quote me unfairly. At the time, I didn't think the conversation was going to lead to much more than me procrastinating this decision for even longer.
He gave me a ton of helpful information about the process. I asked what'd it entail, how long he'd think it would take, and what it'd cost me. He didn't try to sell me or give me an astronomical price. He answered every question objectively. I ended up hiring him that day.
Don't tell my wife I said this, but she was definitely right about the stone.
Since then, Jim has done many other projects for my family, and I've also referred him onward.
He also put the brick front on my sister's house- it looks fantastic.
I'm happy to have done business with him. Jim is a great guy.
