Hired on Thumbtack

This job was concluded. Unfairly and in no good faith whatsoever. The job was to rearrange a bedroom and then to move a couch and loveseat to an address fifteen minutes away. The movers who showed up on time were polite and concerned, but had been dispatched without a truck. They had to leave and get a truck, and return a couple of hours later. In the meantime, the office called and said they never got the moving part from thumbtack. I said it didn’t matter; they had quoted me a price on a job that had two parts, then blamed you for the issue. At first she said there would be a new charge for the truck, but then said it would be adjusted to the original price. When the invoices came and half the job was done, they showed a charge for the truck. I was past my deadline for getting this move done and had no choice other than to pay more than twice the quote, “discounted” amount. I did it hoping that thumbtack will prevail upon Joyful to do the right thing. Reinstate the original amount and credit us the difference. Failure to do exactly that will expose this company as a bait and switch operator.

Joy was amazing So incredibly helpful too. Montaye and Deontae were the 2 best movers I have ever had! They were kind thoughtful strong and just so good at knowing how and what to do. I truly appreciate all the work they did for me and hope they are both doing well!
