Nikki C. says, "Mr. Angelo is a highly talented music teacher who plays multiple instruments, including drums, guitar, and piano. He has been the perfect teacher for our son for over three years. He is attentive, patient, and truly knows how to engage his students. Our son began lessons on a three-string guitar, progressed to five strings, and now also practices on a drum pad. During each lesson, Mr. Angelo takes the time to answer questions and provides helpful homework to practice between sessions. When our son becomes distracted, he knows how to refocus him and clearly explains the “why” behind each exercise. Since starting lessons, our son’s confidence has grown tremendously. He has learned how to read music, which has benefited him at school—first with the recorder and now with the saxophone as a member of the school band. Mr. Angelo has been a true blessing to our family, and it’s only a matter of time before our younger son begins lessons as well. We've recommended him to other parents, who have also chosen him as their child's music teacher."See more

Abesh B. says, "I wanted to take up Bass lessons and was looking for someone who provided Adult Guitar Lessons preferably with an in-home instruction delivery method in Austin. Well my buddy suggested I give Steve a try and I quickly signed up for a trial lesson. Fast forward to now and I have been taking bass lessons from Steve for more than a year and what's more, my 7 year old son has joined us in taking guitar lessons. Steve is phenomenal ! He's not only a great musician himself but he makes learning the guitar/bass fun and molds his classes according to what works best for you ! His methods are really good and that makes it easy for us, dad and son, to not only pick up techniques faster but also get a grasp on music theory faster. If you looking to learn the guitar/bass, look no further ! I am sure Steve will surpass all expectations that you might have from any instructor and yes, he is one of finest human beings that I have ever met !"See more

Mark C. says, "I have been working with Jaime for a little over 3 months and I couldn’t be happier. For two years I had been bouncing between teachers and self-teaching with little practical gains and a lot of self-doubt and frustration. As a 50+ aspiring musician/guitarist, I had a lot of desire and aspirations, but very little structure or direction. When I decided to pursue a guitar teach last November, Jaime was 1 of 5 that I interviewed (i.e. “grilled”) in the hope of finding a relatively perfect fit. After 3 weeks of trial lessons, interviews and discussions I settled on Jaime for a number of reasons: 1) flexibility of lessons – we set a standard day and time be he was willing to be flexible with my work and travel schedule; 2) flexibility of payment – he would take per-lesson or per month payment depending on my finances; 3) remote lessons – I travel quite frequently and needed someone who was not only able to do remote lessons, but was also experienced/set-up to perform those lessons; 4) philosophy – Jaime is all about “listening”, and from the first day he said that we would spend a lot of time listening to what/how I player compared to just learning the mechanics of playing; and 5) Jaime is an experienced and educated musician. From the first lesson he was able to diagnose and correct a number of mistakes I was making – how to hold the pick, string muting, alternate picking, poor beat recognition, posture. Although these first lessons were frustrating for me, his ability and willingness to correct these mistakes has paid HUGE dividends. I cannot recall how I was sitting, picking or playing 3 months ago, but I can say for a fact I am more efficient and proficient. As for the lessons, I feel we have been making steady progress. My speed is up, my ear is better, I have more confidence in my playing, and I enjoy practicing again. Not once during this time did Jaime make me feel inferior that my inexperience was a burden. He ACTIVELY listens during all my lessons – something my previous teachers did not. He sees and hears how I am playing and calls me out – good or bad – when needed. I cannot stress how important and instrumental this is in learning a new instrument – you need to catch those bad habits early and often! I feel I have a good head for music theory – but music theory doesn’t play the guitar. Jaime has helped me start to bridge the gap between knowing and doing; in the end we want to play music – not just study it. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to have Jaime as my teacher, and I look forward to what the next year(s) will bring working with him. I would endorse him to be anyone’s teacher without reservation."See more

Cezanne V. says, "I consider myself very lucky to have Michael as my classical guitar teacher. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in his craft, but he is also a meticulous teacher who genuinely cares about his students’ musical growth. I was initially skeptical about taking music lessons over Zoom, but he proved that the format presents no obstacle to effective learning. I also really appreciate his responsiveness via text if I have questions when practicing. Reflecting on the progress I’ve made with his guidance in a matter of only a few months, I can confidently say this has been one of the greatest investments I’ve ever made. Thanks, Michael."See more
