FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I attend the Voice Foundation Symposium workshops for voice teachers every year to learn more about teaching voice and teaching a variety of styles of singing. I am also an active member of NATS and Classical Singer in which I read new and upcoming information on the world of teaching singing and attend national conferences periodically and online educational chats through the organizations. I blog regularly at www.healthyandconfidentsingingvoice.blogspot.com on all things related to singing.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always sung. When I was 16 years old and taking voice lessons, I decided that I wanted to teach singing lessons for a living. It is so rewarding to teach a person to find their voice within and how to share their talents with others.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I commonly help my students prepare for auditions for school or community musical theater productions, District and All Catholic Chorus Auditions, community chorus auditions, and scholarship and competition auditions. I also then coach students to perform the roles they get and prepare music for performance in general.
