Chef Scott was an excellent caterer with whom to work. He patiently helped me with menu planning over several days, easily hitting my desired price-point and need for both gluten-free and vegetarian options for a 50-person catered event. The reviews for the food by participants were outstanding - all gave a thumbs up for the spread. I would highly recommend Chef Scott and Farm to Fork Caterers and Cafe for you next event.
Let me start by saying that I have seen the light and my experience with ShefShaun has given me a new appreciation for “brunch”. I had the privilege to host an intimate brunch in my home with the talented Shef Shaun. From the initial inquiry, ShefShaun was extremely professional and prompt in his correspondence. ShefShaun menu consulting was incredibly distinctive and exclusive. My brunch included an array of delicious foods that was presented buffet style, which made it convenient and easy for my guests to indulge. Everything was not only amazingly flavorful, the food & libations were all beautifully arranged and presented, so much that I almost did not want to eat/drink. ShefShaun passion about his craft was colorfully exhibited in his food preparation, education and presentation which was crisp, ambrosial and savory. So let me get to the real… ShefShaun created a unbelievable mouthwatering menu: Crab Cakes w/ Spicy Mango Emulsion & Cucumber Salsa, French Scrambled Eggs w/ Truffle Butter, Challah Almond Toast (trust me you have to try this), Grilled Asparagus w/ Peppers, Berry Crepes w/ Orange Bourbon Syrup (AMAZING), Caramelized Grapefruit/Kiwi/Pistachio/Pomegranate Salad and Seasonal Fruits. Last but definitely not least, Braised Oxtails w/ Smoked Cheddar Grits (this was truly the show stopper and the star of the brunch)! And what’s a brunch without- a Champagne, Mimosa & Bellini Bar. ShefShaun provided some sparkling libations including: Spiced Pear Bellini, Honeydew Bellini, Raspberry Dragon fruit Bellini. Forget the phrase hands down, this brunch was all forks down (and up lol) ... every selection, bite and sip was five-star! My favorite selections from the brunch included: the berry crepes with orange bourbon syrup, crab cakes and challah almond toast. And of course the star of the show: the Braised Oxtails & Smoked Cheddar Grits (classic, comforting and nostalgic). This dish was like Caribbean meets Southern fusion; it had all the right textures and flavors and it sent my palate right back home to Brooklyn to my West Indian grandmother’s kitchen table. Overall, I would describe my brunch and experience with ShefShaun in one word: Epic! ShefShaun provided delicious food, a professional & accommodating experience, and a perfectly serviced intimate brunch. The fantastic combinations that Shef Shaun put together and his prepared to perfection menu were impossible to resist, and I think that that was clearly apparent by all of the cleaned plates at the end of the brunch. And despite the fact that all of my guests could not stop themselves from cleaning their plates, the speed and care that ShefShaun demonstrated in the post-brunch clean-up was beyond my expectations, and very thoroughly appreciated. The entire cost of the brunch was very reasonable. ShefShaun offered a higher quality cuisine and better experience than some well-known eateries I have patron. In addition, Shef Shaun service is unparalleled to any that attempts to bring such class and taste to a private party with appreciative palates. Overall, I would described my brunch and experience with ShefShaun as followed: indulging food + sparkling libations + exceptional service = Happy & Heartily Client & Guests. After Thought: By the end of my brunch, I was already thinking of my next event and ready to retain Shef Shaun for his services to create another epic experience! Many Thanks, Ish - Brooklyn Native/Pittsburgh Resident.
Great surprise birthday dinner party!! Food was amazing! Helpful wine pairings. Fun night and a real treat to be at home with friends eating delicious food!!
Mark and his team did an amazing job catering our wedding reception. I needed a gluten free meal which would have made the planning more complicated with most caterers but it was anything but stressful with Mark. From the beginning, everything was customized. During our first meeting we sat down and talked about our vision and our likes and dislikes. Instead of having a separate meal set aside for me, he worked with us to create a menu that was entirely gluten free. He took our discussions and turned it into a menu options for us. We worked together to tweak the final menu until we had a meal that reflected our tastes and needs. On the day of the wedding, Mark and his staff were great. He had an abundant spread set up on our table so that we would not miss out on our appetizers. His staff made sure that we had everything we needed. We could not recommend Mark more highly, especially to those with dietary restrictions. One would be hard pressed to find a caterer who cares more about his clients and creating a magical event for them. Thank you Mark for a great evening. Kim
The Traveling Chef catered our wedding and rehearsal dinner. His food was to die for! He was very professional and the food was like eating at my favorite restaurant! After my wedding, I called and booked him to take some cooking lessons. Money well spent!
I had the best experience ever with the Twisted Apron! I used them for my daughter’s graduation party at my home. My guests are still raving about the beautiful presentation and absolutely delicious fare Christy (and Andrew) provided for my daughter’s graduation party. And the service was fantastic. I had never used catering services before, and researched a number of caterers for a while. They all charged more and provided less. I’m so glad I went on Thumbtack and found Christy! A+ on: responsiveness/attention to detail; professionalism, keeping a super-calm atmosphere; beautiful presentation; accommodation of specific requests; delicious yet uncomplicated food (as requested); providing tents/tables/chairs; arrival time & set-up, take-down etc. I truly could go on & on.
I used Green Light Meals to cater a private family dinner to celebrate my wife’s 75th birthday. The entire family came home for the weekend to surprise her...and we did. However, we have a wide variety of food requirements within our family...medical gluten free, vegetarian, no sugar or artificial sweeteners, and no red meat. Green Light Meals customized the dinner with various entrees that met everyone’s personal selections. The food was excellent and the customer service was outstanding...including delivering the entire meal on Sunday of a long holiday weekend. The Hors D’Oeuvres, Salad, Entrees, and Side Vegetable Dishes all complimented each other. And the custom, gluten-free, three-layer white cake with with white icing was a real hit. With full confidence, I can highly recommend Green Light Meals.
The job was a baby shower for our daughter, for 46 people. We would definitely use Elegant Accent Catering again. The food was well received by everyone. Few minor things, getting a price earlier in the interaction, and the coffee was little strong. Jeremy was easy and pleasant to work with during set up. He arrived right on time, was prepared, and everything went along as expected. We will definitely use Elegant Accent Catering for our next catering needs and recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer.
The food was exactly as I asked . Service was professional and friendly . Chef Ike was extremely accommodating.

I was the Regional Culinary Director of 14 bonefish grills before turning down the position of National Culinary Director position of over 100 restaurants for the opportunity to move up as the managing partner of one of the flag ship stores. Then became the general manager of the Morton's Steakhouse. After many years in the business, I decided to be around my children more. I moved into a 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. sales job but the draw of being in the kitchens brings me back. I was the lead of over 100 catering off-site jobs over the last 5 years and have won numerous awards with my previous companies for the dishes we put out.
I do catering for small dinner party, business meeting, and private party. I have unique foods and dessert. I am able to cook all ethnic foods.
I cater for two or a large group. Ask me if I can make it. I bake many desserts, cakes, candies and many more. I have been cooking since I was around 10 years old. I started cooking with my grandmother. I have been cooking from five people to 54 people a day at a homeless shelter today. I have been cooking for them for 11 years. I also cook for church fundraisers. I catered a wedding for 300 people.
I have no business, but I am trying to get into one, part time, as a change of pace from my present job. I am planning to try to turn this into full time. I cook, I bartend, and I can do catering from my house for small parties. I'm a casual cook; I am pretty good. I am a very good bartender. I'm not a fancy chef, just a "down home damn good" cook. I spent eight years at my last job, moved, and then spent six years at my present job (assistant cook at a hospital), I bartended for 22 years also. I bartend at the hospital Christmas party. I make fantastic pumpkin rolls, my Christmas baking specialty. I can bake, but I prefer to cook. I am Safe Serve certified, with 92% on the test. I just need a change. I am working on getting a website.if I can't do it, I will tell you so. I am a very honest person.
