This depends on your project. Although painting kitchen cabinets is usually significantly cheaper than replacing them, it’s important to look at long-term costs vs. benefits. If your cabinets are damaged from water leaks, mold or warping and can no longer open or close properly, painting them is probably not the best option. You may spend less, but if you have to replace them in the next few years, you will wind up paying far more for having painted them.
