Summing Point Recording Studio

Introduction: Summing Point is the premiere audio recording studio in Rhode Island located in the beautiful Newport, RI, a beautiful coastal city with a long history of great music. We combine vintage analog equipment with state-of-the-art software and hardware providing our clients with a huge array of sonic possibilities for their audio recording projects. Founder Scott Rancourt has been a collector of vintage gear for his entire adult life. As a result, we have a unique collection of vintage amplifiers, preamps, and microphones to use with our ProTools 10 HD3 recording system. In addition to recording vocals and music, Summing Point can also provide audio for film and video, including voice-overs, mastering/sweetening, and sound effects (SFX). Film scores can be composed and/or recorded here as well. The team at Summing Point consists of people who create and appreciate original music and film/video, so we understand the artist's perspective. We respect the fact that each project is totally unique. Our goal is to ensure that every project we complete is true to the artistic vision of our clients. Our Emmy award-winning sound engineer Scott Rancourt brings over two decades of analogue and digital recording via Pro Tools HD to the premiere audio recording studio in Rhode Island.
