Cathy is a wonderful groomer! She took extra time to introduce my 5 month old Goldendoodle puppy to all of the grooming tools and was so gentle and patient during the puppy's first experience. I'm so glad we chose to go with Cathy.
Peter was fantastic with my dog, Shilo! He's a very scared dog and it shows as aggression. I'll be honest, I was reaching the end of my rope and losing hope that Shilo would have a happy future, and I knew I had to find somebody to help who could educate me on how to help my little guy. Peter was patient and encouraged my family and I all to have patience and be ready to put in the work. We've been working with Shilo according to Peter's instructions and he's already doing much better. I'm able to get his attention away from barking at strangers/ squirrels/ guests and he's been doing better at going to the bathroom OUTSIDE, which was a problem that was driving my mom up a wall. Peter uses positivity training only and has a bunch of useful videos on his website. He's clearly somebody who's passionate about helping dogs and we're all very grateful for his help, especially Shilo, since he's clearly more confident and relaxed since we've starting this training regimen. 10/10 would recommend to anybody looking for anything from puppy training to serious problem training.
My first experience with a private trainer for my pooch and I couldn't have asked for a better person. Sandy is professional yet down to earth, my dog, kokobutt, who is afraid of the world, loves her! "Aunty Sandy" is amazing at training and my dog has come a long way. I will continue to use her services and recommend her to anyone seeking assistance to train their dogs.
I adopted my 2 year old dog Kayla only 3 months ago and Mike, along with help from his 2 wonderful dogs, has helped us reach several milestones: teaching her to get in the car, introducing her to the dog park experience, learning to walk on the leash, and most importantly, building up my confidence so I can help Kayla build up hers. I highly recommend his services.
I have two dogs a German Shepherd and a husky they are both great dogs just needed help with more training in obedience after just one session both of my dogs are doing amazing and listening even better. Not only does he show you how to work with your dogs but he is a great person and willing to answer any question and he also doesn’t talk down to you or talk you like your stupid which was my experience with other trainers.
I rarely write reviews for businesses but it is my extreme pleasure to add a review for John Horan of ACTK9. John went above and beyond in training my dog Cooper. I could not be more please with the results of his work. I now have a wonderful dog who comes when called, downs, places, etc. I highly recommend John to everyone who wants the same results. He is a true professional. Thanks you John.
Haven’t started training yet. I hired her for her knowledge and experience in training dogs. So easy to talk to. Answered all my questions.
Working with Chelsea has been life-changing for my autistic son who is 7 and my family. Since meeting Chelsea she helped take us through the entire process of training our son's service dog to assist him out in the public as well as in our home. She helped us pick out a puppy that she believed had the correct temperament and worked closely with us to ensure that her training stayed on track. She is an extremely intuitive person and was able to identify areas that would be so helpful for my son all the while helping train us to handle our new puppy. Fast forward many months of vigorous training and we have a wonder tool for our son. He now goes into public areas that I never could get him to go before and she can stop a meltdown before it starts. As I mentioned at the beginning of this review this has been life changing for us. I would not hesitate to recommend Chelsea to assist in any of your training needs. We are grateful to her for helping our son have a better future.
My wife and I attended classes at Patience Inspired Dog Training and found it to be excellent in all matters. We have attended many classes at other facilities over the years with our dogs and found this to be the best. We especially liked the patience that Michelle has during her classes and while working with our dog and us. Overall it was a great experience!
Blake is wonderful! I took a basic obedience class for my puppy with her. She did an amazing job! She was super patient with me and my puppy. She has a true talent. She loves animals and that love her. Highly recommend!
Lynne is very passionate about dogs and I love her philosophy for dog training!
Katy was so sweet to our new puppy Rylie. Even though we are not new puppy owners, it was so helpful to really understand how to control their behaviors from a young age. She was very patient when sharing information on proper techniques to practice on a daily basis. I would highly recommend a few of the trainings to be one on one so you can ask questions and she can see your dogs training opportunities for future training sessions.
Kim is a natural with dogs. Her training methods are easy to follow for both dog and handler, and her kind but firm approach is well received by her furry clients. If you are looking to improve on your ability to effectively communicate with your dog to strengthen your bond and improve his/her manners both on and off leash, I would highly recommend Eye-to-Eye Dog Training!
Wagging Trail's is amazing, we wouldn't trust our puppy with anyone else and we are so lucky to have them caring for an important member of our family!
We are so happy that we found Erica for dog walking services through Thumbtack. She was very quick to get back to us and even came over to meet us in person. She is very knowledgeable about animals as she used to be a vet assistance and she is extremely professional. She is very flexible to work with your needs and she is happy to adjust times and visits per your pet needs. Her prices are great too for the quality service you get! We feel very at ease knowing she is taking goof care of our puppy when we are at work.
As I type this our dog is here for the weekend we have used Erin before she is awesom yogi has fun we get updates every day with pictures highly recommend!
My extreme love for all dogs makes me your best choice for your dogs needs. I believe that a happy dog is a good dog. All walking will be done on side streets where less traffic keeps dogs less stressed. Any training will be done within a fenced yard.
Hi! I can promise you there is no household more fun for dogs than my household! I've been working with dogs for a little over 9 years now! I started when I was 16 at an animal shelter in Connecticut. Then at the age of 18 I started working at a doggy daycare. It was there that I realized that I would never work at any job that didn't involve dogs ever again! The happiness and sense of peace just sitting in a yard full of doggies brings me is like no other! I monitored their behaviors and learned a lot. After, I worked at another daycare/boarding facility that was based out of a woman's home and it was there that I realized I wanted to own my own home based doggy daycare/boarding/grooming where they snuggled on the couch with me and slept in the bedroom! I have also been a dog walker and am now a Dog Groomer. I have been a certified dog groomer for 4 years. Being left in a new persons care while your pet parent is away can be stressful and scary for a pet as can be grooming. I want to try my absolute hardest to make these scary, hard experiences as light and fun and enjoyable as possible! I have a beautiful, very large yard that is going to be fenced in that dogs LOVE playing in. I have 100 foot leads running between large trees that I attach my pups to and watch them play. I am currently a dog groomer so I am away 5 days of the week for 5 hours a day I'm home at 1:30. I have doggy gates throughout the house, the pups I currently babysit get along wonderfully with my pups so I leave them all together in the living room to play and snuggle while I'm gone but its up to the pet parent if they would feel more comfortable with them being gated in my large kitchen with dog beds and toys or in the guest bedroom! I'm home all day on weekends and mondays and we go for walks at Ashland state park and in the warmer weather we go for swims! I have a lovely neighborhood we go for plenty of walks in as well! Of course all that is dependent upon what YOU feel most comfortable with! My two dogs LOVE LOVE LOVE doggy friends and get vert excited to play with everyone. They will keep your dog playing nonstop and you will get back a VERY tired doggy! We take plenty of dog naps though as well and there are plenty of dog beds for them to snuggle! I can also give your dogs baths and trim their nails and brush their teeth and clean their ears at my home! If you have any more questions please call me!
No dog is a bad dog. They might have just learned bad things. We can fix that. I do training and care, and I am certified in animal CPR. I have experience handling 30 plus dogs off-leash at the same time.
I'm specializing in behavior modification. I feel it is very important that we, as dog owners, learn to speak our dog's language. Having a strong outlook into animal behavior, I take the time to work one-on-one with you and your dog in your home, working to eliminate behavior problems, from house breaking and door dashing to animal- or human-based aggression.
I am an experienced vet tech, groomer and dog trainer who provides pet care, training and grooming. I am experienced in horse and exotic animal care as well.
