However, after reviewing the situation myself, there is already existing access behind the tub, and no wall needed to be cut as stated in the report. The diagnosis appeared to be made without fully verifying the condition of the piping behind the wall, yet it was written as a confirmed issue in the invoice.
The report also recommended “making access in the bedroom closet,” which did not apply in this case since access was already present. This raised concerns about whether the situation was thoroughly evaluated before recommending a major repair.
Additionally, the recommended repair jumped straight to a full replacement rather than exploring whether the issue could be resolved with a more minor fix, which felt excessive given the limited inspection.
I was also asked to provide credit card information over the phone without first receiving a proper invoice for review and approval, which is not a professional billing process.
I paid the service fee but chose not to proceed with the recommended work and will be obtaining a second opinion.
I would recommend others ensure a full and verified diagnosis before approving any major repairs.
