Introduction: What do you want to play? Folk-rock, pop, singer-songwriter, acoustic rock? Together we'll build a list of beginner-friendly songs so you can play music you love while learning basics. Students who see quick improvement practice more and improve faster, so I want to help you play music you love without delay. My approach is helpful for players who want to accompany their vocals, play rhythm, fingerstyle or light lead with other musicians. Or just for your own enjoyment of music, depending on your goals. If your main goal is to become a fast lead soloist, other teachers will be more helpful. Rhythm, fingerstyle and light lead guitar are my focus, and playing by ear. Practical lessons customized to what you want to play. We work from a list of songs and artists you provide, along with supplemental materials and skill-building exercises. Beginners welcome!
