FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up as a ballet dancer. Stage makeup was a way of life. I did my first set of eyelashes at 10 years old.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Bridal. Runway. Editorial. Film/TV/Web
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Two very important things: 1. Have realistic expectations. Understand that so many photos and celebrities are photo-shopped and we work with the skin / face structure we are given. (Not everyone has the ideal eye shape for a winged liner; not everyone can wear eyeliner rimmed all the way around the eye; if you have thin lips - i cannot realistically make them look like Angelina Jolie's...) 2. Always do a trial run; especially, for big events. (i.e. Weddings) This allows the artist to get familiar with the skin and have the time to determine what will work best for the event and with the skin. Also, as a licensed esthetician, I can make recommendations, if the skin needs some help before the special day/event.
