All situations are different but we find out exactly what the client needs and give them the absolute best price possible!!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Being a good listener - learning what the customer needs and using our 20 + years of experience to make it perfect for them!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I personally have a degree in Broadcasting Management from UT Knoxville, have worked for 4 area radio stations, and have run Pro-Audio for over 20 years. Along with playing for countless wedding receptions, reunions, and dances we have been providing DJ entertainment at Gibby's Lounge in the Holiday Inn Cedar Bluff (a 4 star hotel) 3 nights a week for over 20 years and we are starting our 9th year as the "house DJs" on the beautiful Volunteer Princess, playing for all of their receptions and party cruises!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
After I graduated from UT I was working for some local radio stations and did the mobile DJ business on the side. My "side job" grew into a career!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Every kind you can think of!! Brides-to-be, folks planning class or family reunions, people planning birthday parties, students or teachers planning school dances and functions...the list goes on!!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We provided a sound system in November for the UT Alumni Association in Circle Park on campus before the UT Homecoming football game. It took a long time of set-up but was a huge success as we played music, made announcements, did giveaways, and even hosted the Pride Of The Southland Marching Band!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone with years of experience and a professional record. We're very proud of ours!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
We almost always meet face to face with our clients to answer all of their questions and make sure we are a "good fit" with their needs. A customer needs to make sure that the DJ they hire has the right experience, equipment, and professionalism to make their function a success.
