Jacob was an absolute pleasure to work with!! We stumbled upon each other through a mutual friend and I was lucky enough to meet with him personally which allowed me to know, in-depth, his background in music theory and vocal coaching. Our first encounter was a musical lesson, including myself singing while he accompanied me on keyboard/guitar. He walked me step-by-step through warm-ups which was very thorough and well-organized, giving me the opportunity to reach musical notes I had not previously realized. Also, Jacob was sure to teach me the proper vernacular that comes with certain performing strategies, such as vocal mixing and harmonizing. I very much enjoyed Jacob's modality of teaching. I even referred a friend who was looking for a different type of vocal coaching, which would allow him to be more conscious and confident while talking on the phone, a vital part of his job description!!! I was also informed that Jacob can complete vocal lessons via Skype. Multi-faceted. I wish him all the best in Music City!

Drum Kit lessons with Lael is fantastic! He listened to my desired goals, took notes, and by the end of our 1st session had a beginning plan developed for me to reach them. He carefully dissected everything from our discussion and custom taylor a plan for me. He has a genuine best regard for the students safety, well being, and quest in learning percussion. I've been seeing Hannah for 9 months now. I had one other vocal coach in the past and it was such a bad experience I was scared to get another, but Hannah has been an absolute blessing. She has helped me do things with my voice I never thought I'd be able to do! She's professional yet personable, and truly makes you feel comfortable and encouraged while you sing. I absolutely love her, and anyone would be lucky to work with her! She's phenomenal.

I really can't say enough good things about Natalie! My 12 year old daughter was fortunate to have been Natalie's voice and piano student for the past year. During this time, her abilities and confidence grew in an amazing way. Natalie's style of teaching and love of music was evident each time we took my daughter for a lesson. Highly, highly recommend her!

Ree has been coaching me for almost a year and her attention and presence is amazing. She designs each lesson in such a way that it really exceeds your expectations. When you learn from Ree, your voice will improve and that improves your communication with people around you, which changes everything in your life. I signed up for vocal lessons and ended up getting more than expected. More confidence and empowerment though my voice!

I am consistently impressed by how much each teacher pours into my daughter. They truly understand the whole child and are invested in each one. We have had lessons in multiple instruments throughout the past few years and we have enjoyed them all. Loyal customers here. I always recommend them to anyone wanting lessons!

Cindy has been the highlight of our week, and we have had lessons every week for almost 2 years now! She is extremely talented and very experienced in the music industry in nashville. She brings her experiences and expertise every time. My son is very creative, and she can relate to him. She also encouraged him to write his own music after he showed interest in it. She makes it fun! Cindy was the perfect introduction to music and the perfect first instrument, piano, teacher. Love her!!!

Desmond is the type of voice teacher that goes beyond hours and rates, he honestly cares about you and your voice. Desmond learns the way you talk about and describe your voice, adjusting his technique for each individual. Most of our lessons are spent laughing and progressing as musicians. This is the way lessons should be taught.

I've never taken voice lessons, so I must admit to feeling a bit intimidated before going, but Jaie was great--very patient, encouraging, and "tuned in" to my needs. She suggested some simple techniques I can use to improve my singing. It was altogether a very positive experience.

Tara Tinsley is extremely talented! She also has the upmost patience while teaching. I am a beginner at the guitar, and if there was a word to describe "less a than beginner," that would be me. She went at my own pace because obviously I am very slow to switch between chords. I have taken a couple lessons so far and as long as I practice what she teaches at home I know I will be able to play songs in no time. I would recommend her to anybody for guitar lessons. Her office is in a great, historic building in downtown Tacoma. It is a professional office building with free street parking close by (which is almost impossible to find downtown). The lobby has seating for students and/or parents to wait. For parents that don't want to wait inside, there is a coffee and wine bar a block away! If anyone is skeptical she has music on YouTube and Spotify. Check it out and I know you will be convinced to learn from her!

      About

We build great singers! Singing Success was created by cultural icon of the vocal coaching world, Brett Manning. He started out like many singers - frustrated with the lack of results from the vocal lessons he found. After searching through many resources, vocal coaches, and methods, Brett compiled and created a few simple exercises that proved to be very effective for his own voice and every singer he taught them to. These techniques truly made singing as easy as speaking. Building on those simple foundational exercises, he began to experiment and innovate, filling in the "gaps," testing new techniques for effectiveness as he went. He eventually formulated lessons for teaching vocal tone and style, and incorporated the older exercises into his own innovative method. Brett has become a master teacher and one of the world's most sought after vocal coaches, largely because of his uncanny ability to "see with his ears," and instantly invent exercises that get astounding results. He, along with his certified associate coaches, teach voice lessons in his Nashville studio as well as Skype lessons to singers of all genres, both the undiscovered and "the best of the best." He was also a judge/mentor for the 1st season of the CMT reality show, "Can You Duet." Brett has worked with artists from Capitol, Columbia, Atlantic, Interscope, Dreamworks, Lyric Street, MCA, Epic/Sony, KMG, Word, Embassy, Gotee Records, as well as countless independent record labels. He has worked with the casts of Broadway productions of Les Miserables and Jekyll and Hyde, as well as the Broadway tour of Elton John's Aida. His client list contains winners of the world's most prestigious vocal awards, including the Doves, the CMA Awards, and yes, the Grammys. Despite having an incredible five octave range himself, Brett continues to claim "my students eventually out-sing me!" Brett has a unique perspective on the novice singer, "beginning students have the unique opportunity to build their voice free of any bad habits." In fact, it was his love for amateur singers that, after a decade of teaching private lessons, inspired Brett to begin offering vocal seminars and workshops around the nation. Brett is known for his fun, encouraging demonstrations, showing how even "brand new" singers can experience immediate improvement in the range, ease, and quality of their voice. Audience participants are awestruck when, often in less than an hour, Brett adds a full octave to their usable range. It's something you simply must see to believe!
