FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is considered depending the length of the class and the distance I have to travel. A shorter class will have a higher rate per minute because the traveling costs of gas and driving time have to be considered. If you want a longer class, you may pay a bit more but you have a cheaper dollar/minute of lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask what her/his goals are. Then I see their current skill level and I design an action plan for the student to develop. The plan has to be adjusted continuously depending on a number of factors including the student's practice time, consistency with classes, progress with the material, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started my first piano lesson when I was 9, but I started professional training when I was 19 in the Juvenile Symphonic Orchestra Foundation of Colombia in Bogota. Then I studied composition in the National Conservatory of Music in the National University and now I'm pursuing a Composition degree at Florida Atlantic University.
