Introduction: Hi! I am Ginny Swanson: a professional singer, dancer and actress based in "Music City" (Nashville, TN!).
I received my BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in business administration from Belmont University's School of Music.
I run a fully virtual music studio with students from around the country and of different ages and interests. I offer personalized private weekly lessons, free monthly performance seminars from guest artists (last month we had a professional from The National Tour of the Producers on Broadway), opportunities to connect with other students, and offer a rewards program and discounted free lessons.
I have a passion for teaching voice and for helping my students not only learn about music, have fun, and improve their skills, versatility, and knowledge, but I strive to teach them about the industry and prepare them for the professional world. I want to help my students with auditions and find great opportunities for them to perform and grow. I have taught people of all ages and different backgrounds, from seven to twenty seven. I encourage my students to become the best, most confident, and happiest versions of themselves, and to find their true voice and artistry.
I have performed in concerts at the famous Ryman Auditorium, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the Straz Center in Tampa, the Mahaffey Theatre and Ruth Eckerd Hall. I have sung alongside Blake Shelton, Sheryl Crow, Dave Mathews Band, Keala Settle, Michael Cerveris and Mandy Gonzalez.
Last year I was in the top ten for the international competition, The Search for Roxie, to play Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway, and was hired to perform aboard the Regent Seven Seas Voyager and travel to four different continents (pre-covid). I have performed at several regional theaters throughout the country and in Nashville.
I have sung every style of music from country to opera, and sing as a worship leader and 80s/90s cover band singer, Rubiks Groove, in Nashville.
