Gosh, where to start? The Sound-o-matic studio itself is drop-dead gorgeous. I've recorded in many, many studios over the years, some of which have produced grammy-nominated and platinum albums, and none even come close. Seriously. It's kinda like being in a high class art gallery that you also get to make loud noise in. And the sound that Carlos gets is incredible. My project was a bit of an oddball project in that we went in as a band that hadn't played together in 10 years. Carlos was extremely patient with us and offered up some brilliant ideas of tweaks and touches along the way. The mixes that he has put together sound better than I ever could have imagined. Carlos is a master at his craft, for sure. I can't think of anywhere else in the Dallas area that I'd rather record.

Carlos is professional, knowledgeable, and has an open ear for the project that you're looking to create. The studio is incredible, the gear is good, and the microphones are quality. We had a vision and it was realized at Sound-O-Matic!

great guy great studio. carlos is a pro with a great personality. studio is spotless, high tech , and accomodating for all musical styles or goup size. located in a great neighborhood.

Carlos was awesome to work with, definitely nailed what we were looking for in a hard-driving song that had the right energy. We had a pretty tight idea coming, and Carlos added the right pieces to make it a really special piece of music. Definitely recommend his work highly!

I worked with Sound O Matic to record a demo for a recent pitch. Carlos drew the right feel out of the song, and made the process completely stress-free and efficient. We ended up with a guitar/vocal that sounds amazing.
The studio had a good feel and I am looking forward to returning when I've got a full band project... Worth the (not too far) drive from downtown. An altogether great experience--Thanks Carlos!
