I contracted Larry Huckabee on August 29th, 2015 to build two custom wooden cabinets. That day I met with him in his place of business to give him a $200 cash deposit for materials so he could get started. I was given a handwritten receipt which I still have. Within a week or two I went to pick-up the cabinets and pay for them in full. Upon inspecting the cabinets, I was immediately disappointed with the quality of construction and poor level of finish. I pointed-out several flaws to Larry and he said he would fix them. I informed Larry that I have twenty years of woodworking experience, including custom cabinetry, and that I didn't think he would be able to fix them to my liking without starting from scratch, which he was not willing to do. I then asked him for my deposit back and he said he didn't feel like he owed it to me. Three days later he found a buyer for the cabinets and said he would mail me a check to cover my deposit. I still have not received payment despite several promises from Larry that he would "get a check in the mail in the next couple of days". Yesterday (10/31/15) he agreed to meet me at his shop to give me a check. He asked me to call him so he could meet me there. Now he isn't answering his phone, returning my calls, or replying to my text message. Even filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau hasn't motivated Larry to return my deposit.

Mr. Larry did an exceptional job creating the bunk beds that I wanted for my upstairs game room. He was efficient, kept me up to date from start to finish and would send me pictures of his progress. He does excellent work. He just delivered the bunk beds today and I am so impressed! I love the bunk beds. Thank you Mr. Larry!!!! Awesome job!

Larry was so professional and friendly during the whole process. The job was done in the timeframe that he promised and me and my son were so happy. We actually ended up making a list of cape try jobs that we needed done on several pieces of furniture in our home that we are going to take Larry. Simply put, Larry is awesome to work with.

I try to calculate the price of the material, then figure the amount of real time it will take to complete the job.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned basic shop techniques from my high school ag. teacher, then I learned most of my woodworking skills from my father-in-law over a period of about 25 years
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My wife bought me a table saw for Christmas one year, and my mom immediately asked me to make her a memory box, which I still have.
