I got little pain relief from 3 strong prescription medicines. Unable to do anything, I sought alternative medical help from Dr. Sherry Lee. Praise the Lord, Dr. Lee did wonders on me. Dr. Lee started treating me on Friday, using a combination of herb medicine and Chinese acupuncture treatment. With the treatment, I was able to sleep that night. The treatment continued over the weekend, gradually and surely, I was improving. It enabled me to drive to work on Monday. It is like a miracle. The acupuncture treatment was a painless process, while the herbal medicine has a strong smell. However, for the pain I was suffering, it wasn't a big deal to put up with the smell. I would like to express my deep appreciation to Dr. Lee here. Thanks to her caring heart and magical hands, along with her special herb medicine and Chinese acupuncture treatment, I am close to back to normal and enjoy living again. Dr. Lee is the best Chinese acupuncturist and herbalist I have ever seen. May Dr. Sherry Lee be a blessing to many others who are suffering from various illnesses, and bring peace and joy to them all. Bless you! Jenny Z. Yan - Posted by dmorell: Dr. Sherry Lee is a true healer able to treat the total person. Her compassion and intuition, combined with her skillful execution of her resources, has transformed the most complex health issues. - Posted by Gerry: She offers complete, patient, extensive diagnosis followed by careful, gentle, and painless application of acupuncture technique. All of this was served up in a relaxed, unhurried manner in a comfortable, spacious setting where the clock does not determine the administration of the therapy. - I came to Dr. Sherry Lee for chronic shoulder and arm pain. There was also some hip pain. All of them were much relieved by her treatments. Originally, my shoulder couldn't move well, and I felt the pain even when I opened the door. After 3 treatments, I could raise my hand above my head. Prior to coming to Dr. Lee, I had experienced a six-week long cold and sore throat. During the treatments for other things, I felt the sore throat coming on again. I immediately scheduled an appointment for it. To my surprise and delight, the sore throat went away the next day and never came back! Recently, I stubbed my right little toe. It was very painful, resulting in a large bruise, swelling, and impaired mobility. After two weeks, the bruising was gone, but the pain and swelling persisted. Then I remembered acupuncture. After one treatment, the pain left! The swelling went down, and I was able to enjoy my weekend. Because of the acupuncture treatments, I look better and feel better too! Frances Allan Austin, TX - My daughter Brishen, aged 5, responded so well to acupuncture and Chinese herbs. As a mother, I want the best for my child. I, myself have used acupuncture for 10 years, on and off, but did not think my little one would like it. When Brishen's skin began turning red and burning, we had a treatment with a dermatologist who gave her an antibiotic for the first time. No relief followed. We then tried homeopathic medicine. It helped with the emotional side, but gave her no physical relief. Finally, we tried acupuncture. I was not sure my daughter would go through a whole session. She had seen so many doctors for her condition and was tired of them. Dr. Lee was like an angel sent to Brishen. Dr. Lee had an amazing way with my daughter, and made her feel so comfortable with the treatment. After being to so many different doctors, Dr. Lee was like a breath of fresh air. Dr. Lee communicated Brishen's condition to us and reassured us that all would be fine. These words made us all feel better, and the healing began. Acupuncture and herbs healed her skin and her glow returned. Thank you so much, Dr. Lee! With the warmest regards, The Newton Family New Braunfels Texas - Vo Tran Thursday, 31 July 2008 18:00 Dear Sir or Madam, American doctors have identified that I have carpal tunnel syndrome. The treatment suggested for this was surgery. However, instead of surgery, I chose to try acupuncture, which has improved my condition a lot. This has resulted in me not needing the surgery. I am writing this letter to thank doctor Guoen Wang and doctor Sherry H. Lee for helping me through this illness. - Citysearch Review: Dr. Lee: highly recommended acupuncturist Friday, 09 May 2008 18:00 I have been a patient of Dr. Lee for approximately a year. Her concern for my health, patience, and attention to detail is what makes her stand out. With my longstanding allergy issues, Dr. Lee's treatment has kept me on the job, very seldom missing a day of work. I no longer suffer from terrible headaches from sinus pressure and congestion. While there are other well-qualified acupuncturists, Dr. Lee is my choice for my health maintenance issues. by Citysearch - CitySearch Review: Best solution for Austin allergies and great experience Sunday, 27 April 2008 18:00 I've had 10 miserable years after moving to Austin with 4-5 sinus infections a year, and the usual allergy symptoms 6 months out of the year. I tried every OTC medicine, every prescription medicine, was tested by 3 different allergy physicians (apparently I am one of the few that can't be tested, everything came up with no response) with sub-dermal and serum tests, and had 3 sinus surgeries to try to alleviate the symptoms (turbinate reduction, septum alignment, bone removal to increase sinus passageways). Absolutely nothing worked. A friend finally suggested I tried acupuncture. I had never used acupuncture, and was more than a bit skeptical, and I really don't like needles, but my friend had had excellent results with Dr. Sherry, so I gave it a try. Compared to a normal eastern medicine MD visit, the process was strange. The visits are very in-depth. Dr. Sherry spends a lot of time listening to you, and asking questions, and you are never rushed. She generally wants to help, something you won't get from a normal MD. The up front work is completely different from eastern medicine. Finally up on the table and time for the needles and, lo and behold, I couldn't even feel them. What a relief! I was sent home with an herbal mix to drink twice a day, and that was that. I spent 2 months going twice a week, 2 months going weekly, 2 months bi-weekly and am now on a monthly check-in basis. I no longer take my normal 3 prescription meds. I haven't had a sinus infection since she started, and my allergy symptoms are gone. I feel great. It absolutely does work. In fact, I've been using Dr. Sherry for things I would normally see my MD for, and so far, it has been amazing. Dr. Sherry will answer your questions, listen closely, and you can tell she is a genuinely compassionate person. I would highly recommend her to anyone, and especially anyone with sinus problems. - Citysearch Review: most gentle acupuncturist I have experienced Tuesday, 22 April 2008 18:00 I am allergic to pollen and hay. When seasons come, I have trouble sleeping and the running nose creates migraine headache. Sherry performed acupuncture on my head and around my nose, which is quite scary at the beginning when you look at it. However, she was quite confident. It worked great. The nose became normal immediately. I asked her if I can keep the needle in my face for the whole day. Too bad that she won't allow me. (It is a joke.) She also subscribed me some Chinese herb which will take off slowly. I am fine these past few months in Austin. Quite amazing. My son was also treated for allergy. Same issue. The effect is better than on me, since he is only 11 then, and his body can be revived much easier or faster. He is also fine these few months in Austin, when pollen level was quite high. We both appreciate her treatments. Visiting her is a pleasure to us. - Cityserach review: Sherry Hsiu-Huei Lee, L.Ac Sunday, 20 April 2008 18:00 I've tried several acupuncturists while Sherry's been out of the country. Finally, I just quit going because the results are not as pleasing as I've had while under Sherry's care. I have an arthritic condition that is very painful, and I can honestly say I don't take pain medication during the weeks I visit Sherry. Also, I've tried several herb combinations prescribed by several different acupuncturists. I only feel safe with what Sherry provides. I've had absolutely no side effects from anything she's prescribed for me. She knows her herbs, though I'm completely clueless to what most of them are because they're Chinese herbs. The thing I appreciate the most from Sherry is that she's very honest. If you tell her about something you're experiencing, followed by the question, can you help me with this? She's honest. She's not afraid to admit that acupuncture doesn't cure everything. It helps immensely, but it doesn't cure some things. So, the sum and substance of this is, at least make one appointment with Sherry. Believe me, you won't ever visit your present acupuncturist again. She's the best in Austin and the surrounding areas! Anonymous, but truly a patient. - After consulting with several physicians, I settled on a combination of acetaminophen, caffeine and decongestants to relieve the pain. This was the first time in my life I drank coffee, and over a two-year period, the headaches grew in severity until I was taking 50 acetaminophens, 20 decongestants, and 30 cups of coffee on a bad week. After an additional two years, the headaches grew to severe migraines. Wishing to avoid more medications, I tried biofeedback and acupressure without success. Finally, I consulted with several pain specialists and ended up trying all available migraine medicines. None of these worked, and the only way I could find relief was with Vicodin, which left me unable to drive or think clearly. At this point, the impact on my life was severe. I could no longer find the energy to exercise. With the caffeine intake, I wasn't able to sleep well, and without it, I couldn't sleep for the pain. Just trying to keep up with work required all of my energy, and I was out of ideas. Finally, one of my friends suggested acupuncture. I am an engineer by training, with a PhD in electrical engineering, a Sr. Manager by vocation. My career has revolved around the scientific method with logic, tests, and technology. Western medicine with all of the testing and technology was something I was comfortable with. Despite 3500 years of practice, acupuncture seemed foreign to me, and I was hesitant to try it; certainly it would have to yield results and success would not be based on my belief. My friend recommended Dr. Guoen Wang, who referred me to Dr. Sherry Lee as an expert in allergy treatment. I was immediately impressed with the attitude of the staff. It was not at all like the traditional western doctors' office where you waited 30 minutes, spent 5 minutes with the doctor, and then left with a prescription. The initial interview was nearly an hour, and the expectations that were set were quite clear, it would take three to five months to have a significant impact, as the goal was to treat the cause of the problem, not mask the symptoms or the pain. Given the severity of my problems, this rang true for me, and I committed to twice a week treatments. For three weeks I didn't notice much of a difference, though I drank my herbs regularly and attended my treatments, which ran about sixty minutes each. Then, suddenly, in week four, I noticed a jump in my energy and sense of well-being, as did my wife. This was encouraging, but my big internal test was the month of September, which for the last 8 years had left me sick in bed for at least two weeks. September came and went without any sickness and for the first time, I felt hope. Over the next month, I noticed a shift in my diet back from junk foods to healthy foods, and found that I was no longer able to drink coffee, which I had developed a craving for over the last two years. The biggest surprise came one Saturday when my wife asked me how many headaches I had the last week, and I realized I had not had any. I was shocked. Only a few months ago, it was a rare day when I didn't have at least one headache, and now it was a rare week that I had only one. Along with the headaches, my migraines disappeared. Since I began treatment, I have not had a sinus infection. I have quit using three of the prescription allergy medications completely, and only use one intermittently. I am still under treatment, but my health continues to improve. I have the energy and desire to exercise, and most importantly, I feel good for the first time in years. In addition to this, I have had numerous other small problems resolved with acupuncture during my treatments. These range from muscle pulls to tingling, rashes and digestive problems. Most of these go away after a single treatment. Over this period, I have spent time studying acupuncture, and was surprised to find that once I understood the basics, it did make sense in a way that my training could comprehend. I was also surprised to find that my primary physician strongly believed in it, and I have come to view it as an essential compliment to western medicine. Quite simply, I owe all of this to Dr. Sherry. In addition to her professional attitude and deep expertise, I continue to be amazed by the fact that she simply cares. She listens to what I have to say, provides advice on foods and exercise, and explains what she is doing and how it works. She always takes time to work with me, and I never feel rushed. Acupuncture with Dr. Sherry has changed my life, or perhaps more accurately, given my life back to me. I plan to make regular acupuncture visits part of my life from now on. I would urge anyone with allergy problems, or any other issues for that matter, to visit Dr. Sherry and try acupuncture. Russ Gillenwater, PhD November, 2006

Set up appointment and arrived as scheduled. Sherry Hsiu listened to my complaints and identified a solution to ease my pains. Session was fantastic, I had some immediate relief and was prescribed some Chinese Herbs to balance my Qi. Scheduled another appointment for a follow up.
