Suzanne really helped me through a very difficult time in my life as I was working to balance my high pressure career and family. I felt like she really listened and provided insightul counseling.
I went to Lindsey for some personal counseling. From the very first session I knew I found the right place. She provides a very calm and comfortable environment that makes it a bit easier to begin to talk and open up. I would highly recommend her services.
Dr. Parsons is a wonderful therapist. She played a big role in helping me sort out some challenges in my life I was going through and I can't thank her enough. I especially liked the CBT techniques she shared with me because they are ideas and exercises you can practice right away to see immediate changes, rather than going through months and months of therapy and feeling like you aren't making progress. I only saw her for about 5 sessions and feel like what I have gained from these sessions will last me a lifetime. I highly recommend her.
We went for marriage counseling. We LOVE Doc! She was kind, listened, and gave us real life solutions to the problems we were having. We can't recommend her enough!
Great counseling!! Lori really helps and cares about her patients. Lori does an amazing job!!
Sydney is a wonderful counselor, with a friendly, welcoming style. She has a wide range of experience, helping people struggling with temporary life changes to managing chronic mental illness. She cares deeply about her clients' well-being. Highly recommended.
Andrew saw my wife and me for counseling after the birth of our first child. It was an anxious and confusing time for us and Andrew helped us navigate a lot of changes. He was supportive and encouraging and he had a very calming presence. He seemed to have a good grasp on what it is like to be a new parent and that made it easier.
Simone is a colleague o f mine and she is fantastic to work with. I really enjoy her insightful and knowledgeable approach to client work. I never hesitate in referring to her.

My life has shown me that we all face grief. Grief does not have to be the death of a person. We each grieve the loss of a significant relationship, a significant pet, and we grieve the loss of our former selves when our world is turned upside down by those losses. My work in the counseling field stands out because I understand the fundamental need for each of us to discuss death and loss with an open heart, and I have the ability to hold another's grief without breaking.
We offer the following: * Personal Training * Nutrition Consulting * Fitness Content and Program Development * Coaching * Swimming * Running * Triathlon
We have a wide variety of professionals to help make sure you find a perfect match for the type of therapy (and therapist) you're looking for. More than anything else, we care deeply about the satisfaction of each person who comes to us for help. If you're not satisfied, then we're not satisfied. And we never let financial factors interfere with the counseling process. If you think you can't afford counseling, you certainly can. We'll even help you out for free!
I have over 25 years working in psychology and counseling.
Has life become difficult for you? Do you find yourself worrying all the time? Perhaps, well-meaning people are telling you that "everything will be okay," or "it will get better." While they are trying to help, this does not get to the root of the problem. If you need someone to talk to, I would like to help. I offer a down-to-earth, non-judgmental and practical approach. There is no psychobabble and not too much touchy-feely stuff. I like to set aside judgment, and get curious about what is going on with you. Please visit my website to get a better feel for me and for my practice. I am trained in EMDR, Levels I and II. EMDR can be useful for relieving many types of psychological distress. I am also trained in sensorimotor psychotherapy, which deals with the mind/body connection. I offer a free 20-minute consultation, either in person or by phone.
Research shows that finding a counselor who is a good fit significantly increases the likelihood of a successful counseling experience. There are a lot of good counselors in Austin and choosing one can easily feel overwhelming. In 2016 100% of my new clients scheduled a follow up appointment. I tend to be pretty goal directed and interactive with the folks I work with and I think they appreciate that. Coming to therapy can be a challenge for some and I think I do a pretty good job of helping people relax into it. I'm fairly informal in my approach and my office environment is great for putting people at ease as much as possible.

I provide professional and confidential counseling services and I pride myself on being a skilled and effective therapist. I began working in the counseling field in 1998 and over the years I worked hard to earn my Bachelors in Family and Child Development and my Master's in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling. I then earned my license as a Licensed Professional Counselor and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, certified by the International Association of Trauma Professionals. My experience includes working as a sexual assault counselor, crisis counselor, bereavement counselor, couples/marriage counselor and general practitioner. I have vast experience in trauma and crisis as well as grief and loss, marriage and couples counseling, relationship issues, LGBT issues and much more. In addition to individual, couples and group work, I have a great deal of experience working with law enforcement, military, other first responders and the LGBT community. I have worked for many years in agencies and counseling centers and decided to make my dream come true and start my own private practice. In 2015 I made my dream a reality when I opened Kauitzsch Counseling of Austin. A life goal realized for me leads to a wonderful counseling center for you. I will continue to grow my practice to expand services to help a greater number of people but will do so in a way to maintain the integrity and values I have as a psychotherapist. I pride myself on providing the best possible counseling services for all of my clients and a safe and confidential environment to do their work. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
