Introduction: I started dancing at 4 years old. I attended Booker T. Washington High School for the performing and visual arts. I discovered ballroom and latin dance shortly after graduation and knew immediately it was for me. I have been teaching competitive and social dance now for 30 years. I am certified through my master's level in ballroom, Latin and CW dance. Throughout my career I have had the privilege of competing and teaching students from beginner level to advanced. I also love working with couples wanting to learn social dance for fun. In addition, I enjoy working with couples who are getting married and looking for that special wedding dance. What I truly love about teaching is figuring out unique ways in which each student learns best. I love watching my students grow in their confidence on the floor and believe that anyone can learn to dance with the right instructor. Rate is $60 per hour. Certifications: Master in DVIDA in Smooth, Rhythm and International Styles.

Jennifer was BEYOND anything we could have ever imagined when it came to dance lessons for our wedding. We are both beginners and had no clue what to expect, but she helped us all the way through to create a beautiful dance for our day. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Dance Instruction - $50 per hour in your home or location, $70 per hour in my studio (Cost includes studio floor fee).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first assess their needs and goals. I spend the first lesson showing them some basic steps and getting a feel of how they learn, etc. We spend time talking about how much time and money they would like to invest and we plan their lessons accordingly. I have never had a student leave my lesson feeling like they didn't learn something valuable. I believe strongly that with the right instruction, anyone can learn to dance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a dance teacher for 30 years. I have certifications up to my masters level in all competitive and social dances through DVIDA. I am also registered with the NDCA. References are available upon request.
