We received an estimate from John Wasley of JW Construction on 8/6/2016. The contract was signed with a work begin date of 8/11/2015. The job was for a bathroom remodel. The first set of sub-contractors he sent out included 5 people, 2 of them were decent workers, while the other 3 didn't seem to have a clue as to what they were supposed to do. They would disappear for hours at a time, not finish the things they were supposed to be working on, and one of them stole some tools and part of a brand new 180 dollar shower head from us. They discontinued their work and John sent in a second crew of sub-contractors. They did ok work on a very slow scale. They would show up late or not show up at all with no notification. The last no show day we called them to inquire where they were and their response to us was that John from JW Construction owed them over $3,000 for work they did that he had not paid and they were not doing any more work until they got paid from him. We have called SEVERAL times and sent SEVERAL text messages to John with no response. There was a guy there to take measurements for the glass that is supposed to go in our shower around 8/21. The glass was supposed to be delivered and installed 9/1/15. We have not heard anything from anyone and don't even know if the glass was ordered. At this point a project that John told us that would take about 2 weeks, is almost a month in and the bathroom is still not painted, there is still a hole in a door that the sub-contractor knocked a hole in that was supposed to be fixed, a scrape in our vanity that a sub-contractor did that was supposed to be fixed, all of the trim work has not been done, and they hung the shower unit incorrectly and John said he would have a plumber come and adjust it, which by the way never came. We hire our own plumber and had to pay to have it fixed. No clean-up was done we has to get all of the remaining dust and stuff out of the bathroom ourselves, and there is a big pile of trash on the side of our house that they were supposed to haul off but haven't. John Wasley of JW Construction is a farce and a fraud who does not do any of the work himself, he does not follow any deadlines, he does not finish the job, and he certainly will not communicate with you at all!
