Introduction
I am extremely well versed in many styles of music. Additionally, I have extensive teaching experience in one-on-one and classroom style lecturing at the university level. My teaching style is custom designed, and is based on each student's needs and personal goals. I enjoy working with people and I love to make music. There couldn't be a more fulfilling profession for me than teaching music, sharing knowledge with others, watching my students' skills develop into something truly substantial!

Chris has been great so far. We dove straight in from the first lesson, he did a good job assessing where my skill was at and I've enjoyed everything we've worked on. Efficient, on time. Good stuff.

Chris is exactly what I was looking for in a music teacher. The second our lesson begins he gets right down to business and starts teaching. Our half hour lessons fly by in an instant because of how quickly he blazes through material. After every lesson I usually have to sit down for a solid 45 minutes just to review everything we covered. This style might not work for everyone though. It takes a lot of practice during the week just to understand the material from one lesson. He also tends to be more of a "bread crumb" teacher in the sense that he's given me tools to make sense the guitar on my own rather than handing me a prepackaged kit of how he understands music. Granted, this is all from my perspective and it may just be that he has picked up on my style of learning and tailored his teaching to me. I made it clear from the beginning that I wanted a very specific kind of lesson. From other reviews it sounds like he has a flexible teaching style so people looking for more relaxed lessons may also be able to get that from Chris.

Excellent instruction. Doesn't waste time, dives right into the lesson. Chris is extremely patient and will explain a concept in multiple ways until he is sure you understand, then he gives you instruction which takes the concept from theory straight to concrete application. Chris does move fast, which concerned me during the first lesson but, at the end of the lesson he asks you to make several short 1-2 minute videos where he revisits each aspect of the lesson. These videos can then be used throughout the week as you practice. Chris is also very open to questions and will take the time not only to answer your questions but, if applicable, he will demonstrate the answers and then have you try. Chris has a set instructional plan each time he meets with you but he is neither afraid nor uncomfortable deviating from that plan in order to answer your questions and/or move in a different direction based on what you want from that lesson. I Highly Recommend Christopher Moore.
