I know exactly what I like in home decorating. So I thought that when I decided to re-decorate my downstairs it would be a fairly simple task. Wrong. After spending several days at the furniture store trying to pick out fabrics for my new furniture I couldn't believe my sense of overwhelm & lack of ability to make a decision. I called Cathy right away. She came to the furniture store with me. I told her what I liked and BAM! Fabric started to fly. Within a very short time she had my dream living room designed. I couldn't believe it. How did she do that? My whole downstairs is so beautiful and cohisive. I have never had my entire downstairs fully designed at one time before. I have learned a great lesson that I will never have to learn again. You may have an amazing affinity for good art, but that doesn't mean you can create a painting. It just means you can pick out a great artist or spot a great piece of art. Well, my affinity for great home decor led me to spotting Cathy. Tell Cathy what your style is and she will literally make your imagination come to fruition.

We just had Cathy (The Belgian Blizzard because she works so hard and so fast) stage our 4,061 sq. ft. home in Spicewood. This was a daunting task as my youngest son and his now ten-year-old daughter used the house for three years, you can just imagine what it looked like! Cathy was recommended to us by our Real Estate broker and dove right in. She absolutely transformed the house, with very little expenditure on new items, I may add. She had to come to the house several times because of the magnitude of the task and every visit was a real pleasure. Not only does she get the job done magnificently, she is one of the most pleasant people I know. So are we please with her help? I guess so since my wife has decided to have her come to Houston to revamp our house there! So if you need a brilliant, reasonably priced, charming lady to help you with your house I strongly suggest you give the Belgian Blizzard a call right away. She deserves every one of the 5 stars I give her.

Cathy Helmholz provided expert staging consultation for the sale of our 3,300 sq ft house in suburban Austin, as well as management of the project -- complete interior repainting, rearrangement and removal of furnishings and wall hangings, and purchase of various plants, pots, and pillows. Her strategic perspective, promptness, follow through, and attention to detail were all exemplary. She was professional and personable, focused and fun to work with. And after a single weekend open house, we received four offers Monday. I offer my highest recommendation for Cathy's services. The only concern is that you might not want to sell your house after she's finished!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It is indispensable for the seller to have their home prepared for the sale. Meaning decluttered, furniture rearranged. Rooms dedecorated and updated , refreshed and flowing , making the spaces inviting and spacious in order to give the buyers a chance to picture their own furniture in each room and already make them feel at home. Nothing can be left unattended and untouched because every negative detail will be remembered . Staging a home is a peace of mind for the seller, when everything has been done and the price is right, it's a winner!
