Introduction: The best part of what I get to do is help clients bring peace to their lives by creating order and meaning in their spaces. By bringing intention into a space I am able to help my clients see the positive impact an ordered space can bring to their lives. I aim to relieve spaces of unnecessary stress by creating a manageable flow that is unique to each client and their needs. I get to do what I truly LOVE for a living, and the only joy greater than that comes from the relationships that I build with my clients. When someone invites me into their space it is privilege and compliment to what I do. Its a very personal business to organize a clients home, even more so when you are practically strangers. I aim to build trust above all else and Ive been fortunate to build friendships along the way. Clients are always so thankful throughout the process and even more so at the completion of a project; their appreciation fuels my business and keeps me doing what I love to do. Freedom of creativity inspired me to start my own business, and personal curiosity of how people live. I love people and I love order and I was inspired to find a way to bring them together. I get to help others by providing a needed service and fuel my own well being with the personal interactions of each new day. My ideal client is anyone who could benefit from a more organized space, and who couldnt? I get to experience such a beautiful variety of life that I otherwise may not have ever had the opportunity to know.

Where do I begin? I can't thank Layne enough. She has worked wonders for me several times. I had her organize my closet and getting dressed became a whole new experience. I also had her organize my office. Wow- that was like being re-born. My desk was a disaster. She just fluttered her little fairy wings in and worked her magic. Now I can find my dang calculator and any other thing I was looking for. She also made great purchases (with my consent of course) to improve functionality. The big one: she packed me up to move. I trusted her to organize box and label everything while I was out of the country. Imagine having to move a few days after a trip across the globe:nightmare. Except Layne took care of all of it. What a god send. I have also referred her to my most discerning clients and they have kissed the ground I walk on in return. Not to be overlooked is that she is just the most pleasant person in general. She is so nice and cheerful. You can't be in a bad mood with Layne around. You just cant. HIRE LAYNE- you won't be disappointed.

For my birthday this year a friend gave me the gift of a session with the amazing Layne. I had Layne organize my son's nursery, a closet in another room that contains items too big for my son, adoption paperwork for my son and a cupboard in my kitchen for all things baby. Prior to our session Layne asked about what I would like to organize and had me take pictures. This meant she was already working on the project before she arrived. She came ready with supplies that might be needed to organize the various rooms. Layne did a fabulous job organizing each of the areas that I needed help in. Now each space has a sense of purpose and I can clearly find the things I need. I can truly say that this was one of the best gifts I have ever received, especially for a mama of a newborn! I plan on having Layne come back to help me with more projects soon!

Ms. Placed books organizing services in 4 hour packages at an hourly rate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client I want to ensure client satisfaction by starting with a client intake phone call (approximately 20 minutes). It is extremely important that the client and organizer feel comfortable with one another and establish a relationship of trust. During the client intake the organizer will ask questions about their space(s), budget, timeline and who else will be involved in the organizing process. The client intake allows both parties to clarify expectations, ask questions and decide on the best plan of action.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a national member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and also a member of the Austin Chapter. I participate in continued education on a regular basis to sharpen my skills and learn new tools to best serve my clients.
