FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work with your budget, pricing is customized based on your event or service needs. Catering pricing depends on guest count, menu, and service style. Meal prep and cooking class pricing vary based on scope, ingredients, and frequency. I’m transparent about costs and happy to work within a comfortable budget range.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I keep the process simple and collaborative. First, we talk through the basics—your event or goals, guest count, timing, dietary needs, and the overall vibe you’re going for. This helps me understand what you’re really looking for, not just what’s written in the request. Next, I put together a custom menu, class outline, or meal plan tailored to your needs and budget. Once we review and refine the details, I provide a clear quote so you know exactly what to expect. After everything is confirmed, I handle the food planning, shopping, and prep. On the day of the event (or service), I show up prepared and take care of the cooking so you can relax and enjoy the experience. For recurring services like meal prep, we check in regularly and adjust menus as needed to keep things fresh and enjoyable.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training is rooted in hands-on experience and years of real-world cooking. I was born and raised in New Orleans, where food culture is a way of life, and I’ve spent decades cooking for family, friends, private clients, and events in Texas. Over the years, I’ve developed my skills through continuous practice, self-study, and cooking across a wide range of cuisines—from Cajun and Creole to Texas BBQ, Italian comfort food, and health-conscious meal planning. I’ve cooked for intimate dinners, large gatherings, and recurring meal prep clients, which has taught me how to adapt quickly, stay organized, and consistently deliver quality.
