Neal was an incredible coach and one that I would highly recommend to anyone of all levels in their health journey. He's passionate about what he does and it shows through his commitment to helping others make healthier lifestyle and dietary choices. I appreciated how attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful Neal was with all my questions as well. What stood out to me about Neal was how adaptable he was in providing tangible and valuable feedback tailored to the reality of my lifestyle instead of forcing me to create habits around meal-prep times that didn't align with my work/personal schedule ( I travel often and have to get real creative at times with finding healthy nutrition sources ). What I also appreciate about Neal is how detailed he is in his active listening. Every week we would meet, he would provide a summary recap of our previous discussion as well as insights gained from my food logs I sent the week before which not only held me accountable, but also reinforced that he was actively invested in my progress along the way ( Also, sorry I missed a few food logs as we got closer to the end! ) Neal was very professional and also very flexible in working with my often hectic schedule. Neal was even kind enough to offer me an extra free session simply because he wanted to ensure I had all the success tools in place to continue incorporating the healthy habits he taught me over the course of our training sessions. Neal has been my motivational coach, personal trainer and life coach since 2006! He has been apart of my journey and life transformations this whole time. We have done meal and supplement planning, training for races, personal body training, discussed holistic health approaches and he has been a life coach for me during my obstacles in life. Neal is a great trainer! He is motivating throughout our workouts - very knowledgeable about exercise and nutrition - and very encouraging to push you just a little farther than you think is possible. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I do offer a 5%, 10% and 15% discount on 6, 14 and 30 sessions respectfully. All sessions are paid in advance. Cancellations made within a 24 hour period will be charged to client.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I first meet or speak to my client by phone to conduct a consult to help me better understand their goals, experiences and current circumstances. This allows me to "prescribe" the proper fitness program or nutrition coaching principles that best meets their desires. If applicable, I tailor both the fitness programming and nutrition coaching to begin with small manageable steps, I progress my clients only when they and I agree that they're ready to advance their efforts.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My fitness training vocation is supported through my certification as a certified fitness trainer with the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA). Additionally, I have a bachelors degree in Nutrition Science and certifications in wellness consulting and holistic nutritional consulting. I use these educational experiences in providing nutrition coaching as a stand alone and add-on service to fitness training.
