- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not complicated. I stay over in my client's home with their pets, giving 24-hour care. My rate is $50/night, with an additional $5 per animal if more than two, and if medical care or any other special request is made, there may be a nominal fee, but that's something I discuss at the initial meeting with a potential client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
No not yet. I've been looking into a course for pet sitters offered by a training facility in Austin, or their internship as a trainer, but it's pricey and I need to focus on getting my website up and running... I've been booked solid for a few months, and without my computer, so that's been my main focus. Hopefully soon... Two Hearts Pet Care will be up and online!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Love animals, needed extra income, and what started as a way to get by became a full time job. I really never knew what I was missing til I started this line of work. I've never been so fulfilled and happy.
