Introduction: Welcome! I'm Satori, founder of Embrace Embodiment.
I support good people to awaken to their greatness by accessing a deep, meaningful, and pleasure-filled relationship with the body, heart, and mind. I passionately share a holistic and fully customized-for-you blend of experiential practices inspired by Eastern and Western yoga, breath work/bodywork, meditation/visualization, creative expression, and the oracular arts.
I hold a BFA, am a registered yoga teacher, a member of the Yoga Alliance, and have been teaching for over a decade. The offering I give is founded on over a decade of learning from teachers and masters, experience, and personal success with the modalities I share.
Having healed myself from anxiety, depression, and communication blockages (to name a few!), I am profoundly aware of the power of self-love and for sacred space. My practice is to be an embodiment of love for myself, my family, and my world community. "How you love yourself is how you love life, and how you love life tells life how to love you!" -- Me
When you come for your session with me, treat it as if you were going to a yoga class (wear clothes you can move and relax in -- not too tight!) You are coming to receive and to allow. We create safety by giving you full permission to set your own pace.
A first (in-person) discovery session "usually" goes a lot like this: You'll arrive at my healing studio on Bee Caves Road where I've prepared a clean and calming environment with gentle music, relaxing lighting, and everything necessary to leave the world at the door. It's a kid-free, stress-free, and full-permission to "BE" space. Welcome.
We will sit and talk for a bit to start. I like to know how to best support you that day. I am constantly amazed at how powerful this part of the session can be! Big ahas and breakthroughs tend to happen for those who arrive ready and open.
With the clarity we arrived at from talking and tuning into the space, we will go into a movement journey that is created just for you. Let's open you up, loosen kinks, make you taller, and bring more ease in your body. I can address any body challenges you may be facing and show you movements and simple posture awareness practices that will balance you.
This part of the session can incorporate yoga asana (postures), creative movement (free-form dance), pranayama (breathwork), as well as stillness at rest.
Next, we allow; usually by this point in the session, we are getting more and more connected to an aspect of your being that is ready to shift (an old belief that's holding you back, shame around your expression of self, etc). So, this is where the intuitive in me really starts to steer.
Everyone is different; however, there is always a perfect design. We allow the energy to move and release, some people want to dance it out, others want to lay quietly and receive guidance from my voice and healing touch. Others want to stay in the yoga postures and be stretched passively after. Some just cry or laugh -- the full spectrum exists in a safe space to be witnessed. Most importantly, there is no pressure, only permission. You don't shove a butterfly out of her cocoon because then she can't really fly!
Lastly, you will integrate. I create a comfortable place for you to be resting on your back with bolsters/supports and an eye mask (optional). I will take you on a relevant and deeply connective sound/voice journey and offer healing touch/passive stretching while you allow everything to find it's way home within. At the right moment, you'll be invited out of stillness. You leave much much lighter than when you came. I smile -- a good day at work.
